The gradual defocusing from the very sharp main subject creates an almost 3D effect on my monitor. Lovely defocused background. I like the man's very engaging expression here.

Ah thanks

 

It was just a cast off image of four from this one. The image itself didnt work because I couldnt get the depth of field, and I was already down to fifteenth or eighth. Should have got him to stop and pose but I gave up and happy snapped while he explained his garden.

 

I decided to hand paint the colour into the APX100 just for something to do and if I recall it worked 'ok' on my monitor but didnt load all that well for some reason. And not being a flower person I had no idea what colours the flowers were so I just invented stuff:rolleyes:. I think I could do it better now and did see the forgotten leaf over the inside of his forearm but .... ah well.
