Anyone compared these 2 lenses and which one do you prefer. Very hard to chose between the 2. Both great build quality. Like the focus nub on the Zeiss. Voight is also very smooth and can see he benefit of no focus tab/nobb. Seems like will help with prefocusing and developing muscle memory. Both aperture ringes smooth. Zeiss is 1.4 vs Voigt 2.0. Zeiss 2x$. ($2,390 vs $1,149), Resale value? Dont know which will be better and not a huge decision criteria. Voigtlander being an APO lens, is it supposed to be better? Like the Zeiss pop, Vightlander slightly warmer. Thanks for any feedback from users. Seems like both great lenses. -
Hi all, I have two identical Voigtlander Nokton 1.4 MC II lenses - the one on the right appears to have more grease than on the left, in fact, I can't see much grease on the left. The one on the right is also much stiffer to rotate. The one on the left is much easier to rotate, as I prefer it, but if you focus to the infinity hard stop, and slowly back off, there is a slight annoying sticking "jump", missing the focus point, and you have to push focus forwards again towards infinity to regain focus. 1) Please can you comment on the amount of grease on the helicoids on both lenses, does one have too much and the other too little? 2) How do I remedy both the stiffer ring of the right, and the sticky ring of the left? Hello all. In my search for a small fast 35mm lens for my M-E, I just received a brand new Voigtlander Classic 35mm 1.4 MC II. First impressions are fairly positive, I really do love the way it renders. However... It seems to focus beyond infinity. Which is to say that the hard stop at infinity is slightly out of focus, and I must back up just a bit to bring everything into focus. Anyone else experiencing this? This is my first dance with Voigtlander and I'm wondering if it isn't just a quality control issue. Thoughts?
