Is there any setting that would show what Leica CL User Profile is set to on the LCD screen rather than having to menu dive. Thank you. Cheers, Terry

I have made 2 user profiles. The only difference is the setting ‘\Display Setting\EVF-LCD\Auto-low sens’ (User Profile 1) and ‘\Display Setting\EVF-LCD\EVF’ (User Profile 2). When walking around the streets shooting I don’t need the LCD and to save for battery life, I use UP2, otherwise I set it to UP1. At least, that’s what seems like a good idea to me. The problem is that switching between the two profiles does not activate/de-activate the ‘Auto-low sens’ or ‘EVF’ setting. While switching between the UP’s, the ‘Auto-low sens’ or ‘EVF’ setting is changed accordingly in the menu. Go figure that… Might be a bug? Toggling ‘Auto-low sens’ vs ‘EVF’ in the Display Setting menu does the job (of course) but that takes more steps. regards, Martin

Fairly new to the M9 and the Forum. Apologies if my issue has been already covered. I wanted to set user profiles for four non coded lenses-28mm, 35mm etc But I also wanted to set a "standard" (for me) setting of minus one third stop for Exposure Comp. I cannot get the camera to accept this setting-for any of the profiles set. any ideas? Not mentioned as an issue in David Taylor new guide. also the Info screen can give a false reading for lens set by just using Profile. It reads the last lens set Manually under Lens Detection which is logical to a point. I was trying to develop a short cut by using User Profiles.

Hello to All ... I have been using M8 for the past couple of years, and now an M9. In using both cameras, I find myself making menu choices and then not really changing much very often after that - I guess I am sort of using it like a film camera. Point is, I am not really taking advantage of the USER PROFILES and would love to find out what some of you have set up your four user profiles to do. Here is what I have at the moment in my M9 : (1) Uncompressed DNG/ Fixed ISO 160 (2) Uncompressed DNG/ Auto ISO 160-800 (3) Compressed DNG/ Fixed ISO 160 (4) JPEG 18MP/ Fixed ISO 160 Thanks in advance for your responses!

Hi, I just bought a used M8. Now I want to change settings, so I go to Save User Profile and press the set-button. Now there appaers in a new red screen the options Save as 1, 2 and three. But how do I change these? The camera is updates with the last 2.004. Please help.
