Tri-X 400@400 entwickelt in Fomadon R09 1:25. Ich hab also 18 ml Fomadon R09 in 432 ml Wasser (destiliert) gelöst. LG – Lukas

Yesterday I was making a photographic walking with some friend in downtown Torino, when from a park suddenly hundreds of birds started to fly. It was to fast to make a perfect focus, but over all I like the result, given the location and the background it seems a photo taken several decades ago. I wasn't sure that this has to be in the street photography. M7, Summicron-M 35/2 ASPH, Tri-X 400, Semi stand development in Rodinal 1+100 cheers Massimo

Darn it...how disappointing. I shot a whole roll of Tri-x and when I went to develop it, I couldn't get it on the reel to save my life. I have the plastic self threading reels from Paterson and normally I leave the leader out of the roll so that I can start it outside of the changing bag but I got over confident and didn't do that....well, I couldn't get the film on the reel. It finally got so bad I tried a metal reel and that was a bust also. I got so frustrated that I just opened the changing bag and threw the whole thing in the trash. To make matters worse, I had another roll of Kentmere 400 that I shot in my new Zorki 4 and I DID leave the leader out and was successful in getting it on the reel...but there was a camera malfunction and the whole roll was transparent! Not a good day for film. Never again am I going to be a hero and allow the tail to go all of the way into the cassette. I can't imagine why no company has made an updated version of the Jobo 2400; the tank that you put the film cassette in, close it up, and it does all of the work in loading the reel for you.

Beer in Dorset, South coast of UK. Beer as in the place, not the beverage. Mind you, they had beer in Beer, but that came later.

We are not that far down the road to hell with regard to AI and it appears than an increasing number of people are through with AI, photographers in particular. I love my M10 Monochrom and Q2 - and the stunning prints (other people's words, not self aggrandizement) that they can produce. As for AI imaging, my interest level is significantly lower than my interest in having an intimate physical relationship with a farm animal. This essay has me thinking that it's past time to dust off my M4-P, film developing kit and the ziploc bag full of Tri-X in my gear cabinet.

I've been thinking about it for some time, but I have finally decided to give it a go. I'm talking about popping off a roll of Tri-X and souping it at home. I have never developed a film in my life, so I would like some guidance, please, as to: 1. What equipment do I need? I think I need: - a daylight changing bag (yes I know I can black out a room but I'm assuming that this is easier) - a film can opener - a light-tight tank - a reel to go in the tank - a clip to hang the roll up with - a set of tongs to dry it off 2. What chemicals do I need? - insert as applicable 3. What do I do? I appreciate that this may all seem noddy, but please be gentle with me. I have done some internet searches and can find most of the equipment either as part of a kit or separately, but I cannot find a "starter" kit for chemicals. All the ones I have found so far seem to be big containers and I know that some of them (all?) can oxidise so I would prefer small ones to start with. To be clear, the end result I am aiming for at this stage is developed negs that I can scan myself - I am not going to wet print... yet... Thoughts? Suggestions? Resources etc that you can point me at? Regards, Bill

It looks closed for the season, but actually I think it still opens early in the morning for a few hours each day throughout the year, for the hardy few. IIIf, Jupiter 3, Tri-X, Rodinal

Wo habt Ihr gute Erfahrungen gemacht? Ganz herzlichen Dank vorab. Gruß Alex

Taken, complete with ludicrous vignetting, with my Elmar 35mm rather too wide open, but I like the wistful lean of the central gentleman, and the blurred features of the driver as the train glides past and away... Hello everybody, in a few days I will travel to L.A. and will expose some rolls of KODAK Tri-X Pan. Does anybody know a lab that developes that film good? Thanks a lot, take care, Peter__

Hello all. Just a quicky (I hope). I've seen on this forum a couple of bits of advice about Tri-X in HC-110, both contributors clearly happy. Both expose at 320asa, and both use Dil B, but one is happy with results at 6m.30s and the other at 3m.30s which is quite a difference. I'm certainly not saying that either is wrong in any way, of course not, but should I aim somewhere in the middle? Jim.
