Prague is famous for its hundreds of towers. We already know some of them. The tower of St.Niklas Church on the Mala Strana is worth climbing. It is also a museum because it shows the room and working place of a man watching the city and giving alarm when a fire is being detected. Then the bdell had to give a warning sound. when climbing the narrow wooden staircase I was reminded of those scenes from Friedrich Murnau's movie "Faust". A kind of time machine is working its magic. It was quite dark and so the pictures have also this grainy impact of a historic film atmopshere. Olympus EM 5 with Summilux 15 mm

there is a fort in our neighbourhood. It is the landmark of our city and from our house a short walk. I go there very often just for a check and evening afterwork stroll. the red cloth was wrapped on the occasion of an action of out local decoration specialists as a weekend attraction. due to compression I am afraid the last one may not show its full potential. Probably I have to check the method of downscaling. There are some deficiencies itne sky and the texture of the stones which are not being seen in my Tiff files. Perhaps somebody has an advice for downscaling properly. Canon MKII with Elmarit R lenses 35 mm and 60 mm Macro

this summer is not what you call a dream. Permanently one has to look for shelter. This time it was a tower with a roofed platform 20 mtr altitude built 1897 on a hill in memory of the Prussian Queen Luise. From there one can have an overlook over a small part the rural area of a region called Ostwestfalen-Lippe. This is not an area with spectacular sights. It requires to be discovered at the second glance. Panorama stitched out of 5 handheld shots Canon 5DMKII with Elmarit R 35mm The oroginal is 3.6 MB and I am afraid scaling down to forum size might show a slight blurr. Please climb the steps.
