  1. From the album: Monochrome

  2. Sylt Island, Germany M11 with APO-Summicron 90
  3. Bielefeld, Sparrenburg, The low sun at this time of of January goes down at the right angle. for me it was an opportunity for the first attempts of what film and lens could do with the Leica R3 in terms of contrast and colour.
  4. A different view of Tre Cime di Lavaredo at sunset, in the amazing Dolomites mountain range in Italy. This is a 24 seconds exposure taken with Leica SL, Laowa 12mm Zero-D and Formatt Hitech Filters Firecrest Ultra. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  5. Being on my way back to the Lodge the moon was already there and the the from the back with the last reflections of light on the theatre. Altogether it made an unforgettable moment. The pano was stitched from 3 pictures.
  6. Storm at sunset, a 2-minutes exposure taken at amazing Playa Barrika in the Basque Country on the Atlantic Coast of Spain during a Workshop I led there. Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  7. Strong nature and human ingenuity characterise the lagoons of the river Po's Delta in Italy. Here is a "Casone", a typical construction in Comacchio's lagoons to keep an eye on pirate fishermen. A 3-seconds exposure taken almost three years ago at sunset with Leica S (007), Leica 30-90mm Vario-Elmar-S and, as always, my Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  8. Land's End, in Cornwall, is a truly magical place. Once you get past the (terrible!) amusement park-like thing close to the parking lot and start wandering along the cliffs, you realise that west of you there is nothing but ocean until the American continent's shores. Enys Dodnan Arch looks and feels like a door open towards the New World. Leica SL, Leica Super-Vario-Elmar-SL 16-35mm and the great Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  9. This is again the famous church of San Giovanni in Ranui at sunset, on the Dolomites (Italy). This is a one-minute long exposure and this time, after posting the B&W version a few days ago, I present it to you in colour. With Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and the incredible Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  10. It takes wading in the ocean, water nearly chest high, to get to the Arch at Playa de Campiecho with high enough tide for the cave to be filled with water. Once you get there, however, the feeling and the view are simply amazing! Taken at sunset during the Workshop I led in Atlantic Spain in 2017 with Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  11. Urro del Manzano at Sunset, in Cantabria (Spain). This is a 60 second long exposure taken with Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  12. At Playa de Mexota, Asturias (Spain), you'll find yourself facing a sail-shaped sea stack towering in the Atlantic ocean. After climbing on the rocks facing the stack and finding a composition, it was just a matter of waiting for the sunset... This is a 36 seconds exposures, with the help of Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm Super Wide-Heliar and my beloved Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  13. Sunset at Vestrahorn, in Iceland, a location offering much more than the famous mountain’s silhouette to those willing to explore it. Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters. Thank you for watching, best regards Vieri .
  14. Bat's Head, taken at sunset last February during a Workshop I led in Dorset, UK. Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  15. Frozen Falls, taken one year ago at Kirjufellsfoss during a Workshop One-on-One I led in Iceland. Leica M10, Voigtlander 10mm and filters Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  16. A view from the top of the Piccolo Lagazuoi, on the Dolomites, on a cloudy evening Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  17. MP240 with Elmarit 90mm 2.8
  18. These days are wonderful: still summer temperatures. The days are a bit shorter now but the light we get here is lovely for the time being. So I started out for a big peat bog because there were promising clouds. But not so at that place. It was tranquille, warm, calm and frogs could be heard, geese on their evening strife. Altogether a lovely sunset atmopshere. I tried out my new Olympus Em 5 MKII with Summilux 15 mm and Nocticron 43 mm
  19. Nice sunset at Lincoln Park in Chicago. Hey...I offered them a copy of the photo, but they refused! Oh well... 50mm Summilux M-P (240)
  20. Sun went down quickly and it became chilly. But waiting for sunset was a "must" !! Olympus EM 5, Baker Beach
  21. We spent a couple of hours from afternoon until dusk at this glorious place of Baker Beach in San Francisco. Being quite busy with two systems I am glad to hav carried all that gear around. Olympus EM5 with Nocticron
  22. This family was enjoying: the activity of the man was followed by his family and all were in a very calm contemplative mood. San Francisco, Baker Beach Olympus EM5 + Nocticron
