In Juli 2023 we were visting Bali and my daughter had the great idea, that we should make a trip to the top of Mount Batur, a vulcain on Bali, to see the sunrise. So we started in the middle of the night and climbed tot he summit with a mountain guide. At the top we rested, get a little breakfast and enjoyed the sunrise. Here are some pictures from our trip:

Sunrise at the Quiraing, a really enchanted place where trees can even grow horizontally, out of hillsides. An oldie from 2017, this is a 2 seconds long exposure taken on the Isle of Skye in Scotland with my then Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm Super-Wide Heliar version III and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Just after sunrise we had this moment of undescribable light and glow. A certain type of music came to my mind.

It was a bad fishing night he told me, but, the early sun rays of that day were not to be missed or pissed by any fish count. A coffee for both, a cigarette for him and a long chat. Mediterranean sea, Ancient city and port of Tyre. Lebanon.

Weather phenomenon known as "inversion" over the Salt Lake Valley. Cold air is trapped in the valley and leads to decrease in air quality over time. A sensitive issue in Northern Utah (and elsewhere). Summicron 50 (IV) on Leica M9© yes

I love Tuscany in every season, but especially so in the fall or spring, when mist can transform the landscape & the mood of your photos completely. Sunrise above Stair Hole and Lulworth Cove, in Dorset (UK). It takes a short climb in boggy grounds to get above Stair Hole, but witnessing the sun rising and the landscape revealing itself from the darkness from up there is pure magic. Seeing the smile and the excitement on my Workshop's participants' faces when the sun appeared made the climb 100% worth! Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm and filters Formatt-Hitech Firecrest. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
