After a long time I decided to buy an M lens again - it became a Summilux 1.4 Asph FLE. Before I buy another M camera to go with it, I attached the lens to my Panasonic S1 with a simple TTArtisan adapter and took it for a walk through my garden - unfortunately there was no more time. At least the sun was shining. What I then found on the hard disk in the evening really thrilled me, despite the test picture character of the shots. Colours, contrast, bokeh, depth - everything is wonderful. In addition, the small lens is very easy to operate with the big Panasonic, focusing is fun. I will decide in the next few days whether I want to have another M at all. Actually, I didn't want to return to the Leica cosmos, but the lenses, the feel, the pictures... it won't let you go.- 13 replies

Hi. Finally I got the summilux 50mm black paint (pre-ASPH) lens but I couldn’t get any information about my lens. it’s not millennium limited version because the serial number doesn’t match I think. So if you know about my lens could you share me any information?? Let me attach the box image. Thanks.

All; I own a CV 50mm F2 APO Lanthar and like it very much. Pretty 'clinical' as 50mm lenses go. Quite similar to my previous 50SL APO. Other than the extra stop, what would I gain from picking up a current 50mm F/1.4 ASPH Summilux? I read all of the MTF stuff, etc. I wouldn't be replacing the APO Lanthar, but supplementing it with the LUX. It appears as if LUX has a bit more character. Sharp, but not clinical, and seems to be a better lens for shooting people, portraits and so on. Thoughts? Thanks! -Brad

Sadly, my Leica M10-P and 4 lenses were stolen in Los Angeles California, and I wanted you to have the items and serial numbers in case they are somehow sold to you. The thieves do not really appreciate what they have and I'm hoping time will be on my side. The items have been on eBay and the attached image is from their ad...... I have all receipts and serial #sand police report! Thank you for your help!
