-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm trying to alert as many places as possible. My M9 was stolen from my house in Columbia, Maryland this past Wednesday evening, along with an iPad, 2 MacBooks Pros and several iPods. The M9 was in a Black Leicatime Case the body S/N = 3106089 and lens S/N = 4011240. If anyone happens to see this combination for sale, please contact me or your local law enforcement. The equipment has been listed in to the Maryland stolen property database and I believe it is linked nationwide. Really annoying. They left an M6 and M8 in the cabinet as well as several other lenses. Only took the one camera with a lens affixed, which happens to be the most valuable combination. Thanks in advance for any help. carl.

Ciao everybody here, I'm new to this forum and quite new to the Leica world too. I've searched through the posts, but still no answer to my question, so I post it here, hoping in your experience and kindness. I went to Germany last june and in a shop in Koln I found, to my surprise, a new M9 body in grey: I simply didn't resist and bought the camera, along with a Summicron-M 1:2/50mm lens. Now this lens is uncoded and I don't understand why. Is it normal? Was it built before 2006? And if this is the case, why the shop sold me such an old lens? The serial number is 3915155 and the "Verk.Nr." (type of lens?) is 11624. I understand it's the last type built, type IV, am I wrong? I'm impressed by the results and I'm living a dream dreamed for so long with this camera, but I want everything ok, specially if I plan to buy other lenses, so maybe I will have the lens coded by the italian importer. Thanks you all for what I learn reading and looking your photos, ...and for your answers! Ciao Angelo
