Around 10 years ago I decide to do not leave Rome during summer time, in particular August. For whom is not romans looks a strange sentence but since the time of the ANCIENT romans August is the worst month of the year, so hot that we love to leave the city to the tourist :-). But from a photographic point of view it is really beautiful and the well known touristic spot became more interesting. my favourite newly discovered forest unfolds its magic by and by. Every time I go thee it offers something new. Canon 5D MKII and my favourite Elmarit R 60 mm macro lens + polarizer

these are from my visit to a nearby forest. In spite of being perfumed we we under attack of midges living on a close cow meadow. We thought it woud be dark soon, so the dark side of the forest had its showdown. Light was fading quickly here. All with Canon 5D MKII and Elmarit R 60 mm macro on tripod.

these days thunderstorms are constantly menacing. On such an evening yet I went to out Botanical Garden. As soon as the setup was installes (tripod,flash,reflector) it started the downpour and a windgush let the flowers sway. Yet, I tried something, you may look if you want All with Elmarit R 180 mmm on Canon 5D MKII

these are the first experiments with daylight and a flash being bounced against a handheld reflector. The heat of the early evening was blazing in the countryside and we had to suffer many attacks from bloodsucking insects. My Canon 5D MKII was mounted with my Elmarit R 180 mm, which was recently under service in Solm. and since then it is as good as new in its optical quality. I am working at a new setup consisting of a flashlight which is being bounced against a handheld reflector as supportive light of day light, specially some sort of frontlight. Come along, no insect will bite you. enjoy the walk

I know it might be boring - but I was attracted by the charming red blossoms over again. Since weather is trying to be summer I was out in the fields hunting. on our rainy hiking tour over a mountain of 840 mtr altitude there was herbs and flowers which tried to survive the period of cool rainy days. these evenings are very quiet beause everybody is watching football games. This meadow is normally frequented by dog walkers But now it is deserted and I enjoyed a stroll with my Elmarit R 35mm. I would be delighted if somebody would like to share this moment.
