Greetings to the forum! I am new to forum and this is my first post. I recently purchased an summarit 50mm f1.5 on Ebay. But just now I noticed that its serial number is not in the range of summarit on any source online, this for example: https://reddotcamera.net/leica-lenses/serial-number/ . My lens' serial number is 1000025. The closest match is summarit 1000000 （https://www.nocsensei.com/camera/tecnica/marco-cavina/marcocavina/leitz-summarit-50mm-115/). and accroding to the record 1000001 should be an Elmar. Want to ask the forum whether cases like this are usual in leica lens production, building a little bit more than planned and not recording them? Is this lens a valid lens? Should I report this case to the database? Thank you! the figure is attached!

The Summarit 5cm f/1.5 is one of those "You never know what will happen" lenses at night with any light source near the frame. This young lady from Boise, ID was kind enough to pose in the cold while I clumsily framed and focus this shot with the gorgeous little iiif. Portra 400. Leica iiif. Taken after we saw the totally excellent play "The 39 Steps" at the Criterion Theatre, our first night in London, 18 Aug 2009 about 11pm. Leica IIIg, Summarit 50/1.5, Kodak Portra 160NC2, 1/15 @ f/4 zone focus, drug store develop and scan to CD (after we returned home), CS4 and Topaz Adjust. The vacant, puzzled expressions on some of the kids' faces kind of reminded me of Robert Crumb scenes in Zap comix books and that's what I tried to make this look like with lots of extraneous detail. Hallo! Endlich ist die Sonne herausgekommen und konnte ich mein gerade bei Will van Manen geCLAtes Summarit 1.5/50 von 1951 mit M39 adapter testen. Weil mir die Original-Gegenlichtblende einfach zu teuer ist (wenn überhaupt auffindbar) habe ich einen Olympus 41-43 Adapter aufgeschraubt; das ist ein 3cm langes Rohr das gegen Sonneneinstrahlung schützt und (wenigstens bei der M8) keine Vignettierung verursacht. Hier nun einige Beispiele, alles mit Blende 2 oder 2.8. Ich bin begeistert über die Leistung dieses Uralt-Objektives. Das dritte Bild habe ich in einer Buchhandlung aufgenommen. Grüsse Johan
