  1. I've been waking up one of the Leica M9 cameras after more than a year's sleep on the shelf. Both the 16 GB cards I use show these patterns in the DNG. I've formatted the cards in SD Format and camera, but the problem persist. From time to time. I'm sure we've had this before. Anyone who can refresh my memory what it is?
  2. Thank you to everyone who took part in last month's 135th Barnack's Monthly theme, which was filled with more than 1,220 pictures, excellent ideas and interpretations of the theme. Also, thank you to everyone who helped to make it another successful month by generously posting their pictures and in particular to those people who posted for the first time - I hope you found it an interesting and rewarding experience and I hope it encourages you to share more of your pictures with us! The Barnack's Monthly theme for January 2020 is: Stripe or stripes. This month's theme is any pictures containing a stripe or stripes or that has the word "stripe" in it. It could be a zebra's stripes, stripes on a barber's pole, the White Stripes popular beat combo group, stripes on a warning sign, a bee, military stripes, a stripe on a tee-shirt, stripes formed by vapour trails in the sky, yellow or red stripes indicating no stopping or parking, striped leggings, a jockey's stripes, a diagonal stripe on a taxi, a diagonal stripe on a polo player, hatching on an aircraft carrier's deck, a tiger, a footballer wearing a stripey uniform, a burglar's striped tee-shirt, a stripe left by a skidding vehicle, a hi-viz stripe, a stripe for the oche in a dart's match, stripes on warning tape, stripes indicating car parking spaces, stripes on a tracksuit, the plimsole line on a ship, the markings on a tennis court, the yellow stripe at the edge of a railway platform, motorway hatching, stripes forming a pedestrian crossing, the American flag, stripes on a boater and blazer, a striped umbrella - it's entirely your choice so let your imagination run free! It would be a help if you give your picture a title so to help us understand your point of view. Members have asked if we'd very kindly name the camera and lens used - if you can remember - because it's interesting to know but, again, it's just helpful. The rules are deliberately loose so go out and shoot with this month's theme in mind or start searching back through those pictures you took oh-so long ago that you'd forgotten about and start posting! It doesn't have to be your best ever shot and it's not a competition so you might surprise the rest of us and yourself - it's just about sharing some pictures, seeing others' take on the topic, and enjoying it! Everybody's welcome to contribute, any interpretation, any number of posts, pictures that have been posted on the forum before, any equipment as long as it and the photo complies with the forum's rules of either camera or lens or both made by Leica. Please post freely - especially newcomers and please remember there's no judging or criticism (good or bad) in this thread. So, if you'd like to show your acknowledgement or appreciation that someone has posted their picture then instead of posting a comment please use the "Thanks" button that you can find at the bottom right of every post. Please post away and I look forward to seeing your interesting interpretations of this month's theme. Note: Moderator Pop has very kindly assembled links to all of the past Barnack's Monthly threads as a single archive that can be found here: Barnack's Monthly Index. Thank you, Pop! Pete.
  3. Hey Guys, maybe you can help me out? I bought an old M3 in very good (optical) condition. After shooting and developing the film i saw this: Do you have an idea why I have these stripes in the pictures? It can't be seen in every picture of the film. ;( Thanks a lot!!! Peter
  4. I love my M9!!! but after shooting for about a year I have the last couple of months seen horizontal stripes across my files. Always on low ISO 160 and 320 and only in the left side of the frame. It is seen in about one out of 100 shots. My camera has 35.000 shots. What is this? I have been in contact with Leica but they don´t seem to know:( So please if you have a good guess out there.....HELP as it is impossible to get rid of in photoshop unless you turn the noise up like crazy! I have enclosed a couple of images and 100 % crops from the left upper corner. Strangely it is only here the stripes are. About a third into the frame from the left side - there is nothing to see - no stripes - in the center of the file! Best /thomas
