I watched something moving in front of me, did my shot and than ran forward to find out about what made it move. Near Brooklyn Bride - NYC All with X1

this is one of those pictures when a hazy sun showed up for an hour and then vanish to leave everything grey. I gave sky and land a different treatment of contrast in PSE to exploit what the sensor captured to its limits. I know it is a matter of taste but this image is just the impression I had when taking the picture. Have a look! Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 60 mm macro

These are the first pictures from our visit in April to the Great Canyon. I am still busy processing the other half of my 2.000 shots from NYC,Las Vegas,Grand Canyon and Valley of Fire. I will post more if you like. My MKII was mounted mostly with Elmarit 60mm+2xApo Converter, the X1 had also a very busy time. The MKII was tweaked down to 50 ISO, polarizer and tripod (for the early morning and evening shots.) The shots were all taken from the Rimtrail. MKII with Telyt 250 mm - 7:00 a.m. Mathar Point MKII with Telyt 250 mm 7:15 a.m, Mathar Point X1, morning 11:00 a.m. MK 60 mm+2x Apo Concerter, 18:30 Hopi Point X1 11:00

this was a trip to an primeval oak forrest called "Reinhardswald" being situated in a corner of 3 states Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hessen, Niedersachsen. Several hiking trails partly on wooden planks are leading through a unique, protected treasure of 200 acres of oak tree forrest. This place will be revisited when the foliage will be gone. The Elmarit 60 mm macro lens was mounted on a tripod, with a lens stop about 8 and a low shutterspeed approx. from 1/25 - 0/08 at 100 ISO. Theese trees are so big and spacious that one has to work with a stopped down lens to get a good depth of field. I hope it to be pleasant walk and thanks for taking time and viewing. Here are a few more impressions from streetlife in Amsterdam. I tried to catch these moments with my new Elmarit 90mm R lens mounted on Canon 5D MKII. Many young people go there to have a good time and celebrating a hen-party or stag-party. That is the reason why you see them in strange outfits.Since these are no portraits for the people thread I post them here. Have a look at the collection and I am glad if you'll take time for the fun. a fine saturday afternoon in a beer barrel. Not sure if this has been covered here, but just got the M9 last night. In doing sample shots I noticed that a short little vertical line appears near center (see second photo) of image when zoomed in at 100%. I first thought this was a pixel problem but then it goes away with different shots of same framing. Then comes back. Regardless of SD card or camera setting... almost random. Latest firmware. Thoughts? Should I return camera for exchange? Thanks.
