With the help of very kind friends my exhibition of 20 black and white images was hung at Mettricks (Guildhall) in the cultural quarter of Southampton last night. They will be there until at least the end of the year so if you want to join me there for a coffee just email me.Because they cover a long time span not all were on Leica, and about 2/3rds are on film, including some from this year taken with the M7.Gerry

Taken in the low winter light recently using the M240 and 35mm Summarit f2.5 at 400iso. 1/330 f8. 'Nipper' is the name of the dog emblem which has been used by 'His Masters Voice' music company for decades to promote their products. I can only assume this young lady was on her way to work. Gerry

I live in a major seaport and it should be no surprise that shipping has always been a keen interest of mine from the moment I first picked up a camera. Yesterday I took advantage of the great weather to capture this vehicle carrier alongside using my 90mm lens from the opposite shore, and this is the uncropped result. To people living here this is quite a modest size at nearly 69,000 tonnes and vessels like this are regular visitors on their round-the-world routes. Leica M240 + 90mm Summarit-M f2.5. - 1/1000th @ f9.5 - 320iso. Gerry

The major cruise liners may have deserted Southampton because of COVID-19, but we still get daily visits by some of the biggest ships in the world such as the 210,691 tonnes 'MOL Treasure' which at 400m long dominate the skyline. Leica M240 + 90mm Summarit-M f2.5 - 50% crop Gerry
