On some hills there was being preserved a kind of snow in a very thin layer. As last sunday was sunny, with blue sky I just roamed a bit. This area is on the hills at my city and a crowd of sunseekers was enjoying a touch of coming spring even. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 90 mm

In the Berkshires. Only 15cm of snow with temps around -4 C. M10 with 50mm Summilux-M. Thanks for shivering... , Jim

I've tested a few Leica's to their limits in bad weather, and the Leica M10 a little more. So far they have all survived. Here's a story on that and the necessity to face the rain and snow sometimes ... Enjoy! "Leica M10 in the rain"

One of my first photos taken with my Leica M6 and Kodak Tri-X 400 film using the Leica 50/2 Summicron-M lens. The film was developed with Kodak D76. The negatives were digitized by photographing with Sony A7R and Sigma 105/2.8 macro lens. Post processing with B&W and channel inversion plus slight contrast adjustment.

Same house at spring during evening, and just a few days ago mid-day where I used a heavy snowfall to hide landscape. Thanks for looking! Bi-house by fotoalf, on Flickr House_griff_2 by fotoalf, on Flickr

My first photo with my first Leica! Approaching the Geyser basin in Yellowstone on the Snow Road and the the cold temperature generates clouds of billowing steam against the sun. The lone tree on the plane of the old volcano basin provides context amongst the field of crisp cold snow.

But with winter coming up, it might be of interest to owners of newer Monochroms.. https://the.me/die-leica-in-der-hand-the-monochrom-goes-into-the-snow/

A winter walk in the lost village - former military training area - now centre of a national park. From this perspective it looks not too bad, hidden by trees there is the old school building and the church from the original village, which was given up after WW2. (SL 2 & VE 24-90mm) Approaching the village from the other side you will find the last "buildings" constructed to practice house combat. SL2 & VE 90-280mm, focus stacked. ...in the village...VE 24-90mm In the area around the village you find left overs of older houses, also build only for "practicing"... Summicron 50SL

I was in Belgorod (Russia) some weeks ago for a photographic project. The winter atmosphere and the sovietic buildings were great. Leica Camera AG Leica M10-P Elmarit-M 1:2.8/28 ASPH. ƒ/5.6 28.0 mm 1/90 200

Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous and photographed waterfalls in Iceland, most known for being photographed from behind the water. Since I like to go to Iceland in winter, both for my Workshops and for my personal work, that is never possible: the access to the waterfall's back is closed due to the snow. This, however, opens up new creative possibilities to portray this amazing waterfall surrounded by icicles and looking like it's digging in the snow. Black & white, for me, was the obvious choice for this. Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm and filters Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri

these are the first winter days in this region and searching for a scenery of light snow and mist I kept roaming for a while and further up the hills a quiet deserted scenery was unfolding. Light was already fading a bit and a light drizzling started. Canon 5D MKII and my favourite R-Elmarit 60mm lens was mounted. Exposure with my favourite aperture 5.6 for these low light cases and 1/15 sec ISO 200 + polarizer.

since there was not to much rush on a grey sunday morning and one of these fellows did enjoy his meal openly. All the wooden bridges over their territory were closed due to slippery planks and so they felt somewhat relaxed. There was a fence and this was almost being dissolved by the lens. Eventually patterns on the snow were slightly reduced by dodging. Bielefeld, Tierpark Olderdissen Shots all with Canon 5D MKII + Telyt R-250 on monopod.

In order to explore my new Telyt R-250 mounted on my Canon 5D MKII our local small zoo offers enough opportunities for this. Animals were not so disturbed because the sunday rush was not so extreme due to overcast sky and cold temperatures. aperture 5.6 speed 1/250, monopod

this is one of those pictures when a hazy sun showed up for an hour and then vanish to leave everything grey. I gave sky and land a different treatment of contrast in PSE to exploit what the sensor captured to its limits. I know it is a matter of taste but this image is just the impression I had when taking the picture. Have a look! Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 60 mm macro
