  1. Leica M8 with Voightlander75mm f1.8 Winter pond in Michigan.
  2. I was in Belgorod (Russia) some weeks ago for a photographic project. The winter atmosphere and the sovietic buildings were great. Leica Camera AG Leica M10-P Elmarit-M 1:2.8/28 ASPH. ƒ/5.6 28.0 mm 1/90 200
  3. I've updated my article on "Snowzilla" on how the Leica's are handling wet and snow, as well as a section about editing grey tones. Enjoy! Thorsten Overgaard: "Photographing Snow"

  6. At least temperateratures went down last weekend and a thin layer of snow even covered the ground. The Q this time as a wideangle lens and backup In the background one can see the tower of our fort of Bielefeld
  7. One of my first photos taken with my Leica M6 and Kodak Tri-X 400 film using the Leica 50/2 Summicron-M lens. The film was developed with Kodak D76. The negatives were digitized by photographing with Sony A7R and Sigma 105/2.8 macro lens. Post processing with B&W and channel inversion plus slight contrast adjustment.
  8. On some hills there was being preserved a kind of snow in a very thin layer. As last sunday was sunny, with blue sky I just roamed a bit. This area is on the hills at my city and a crowd of sunseekers was enjoying a touch of coming spring even. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 90 mm
  9. I've tested a few Leica's to their limits in bad weather, and the Leica M10 a little more. So far they have all survived. Here's a story on that and the necessity to face the rain and snow sometimes ... Enjoy! "Leica M10 in the rain"
  10. In the Berkshires. Only 15cm of snow with temps around -4 C. M10 with 50mm Summilux-M. Thanks for shivering... , Jim
  11. Hello Hello again everyone, so i need to figure out the best way to weather proof my Q, but i dont want to use some big bulky housing or some ridiculous cover. Do any of you fine people know any thing or have any info on the best ways to go about doing this? im heading out on some work trips and its going to be very DUSTY, humid and rainy in one of the locations, and while im not afraid to shoot in the rain and such, i just want to know if we have any options. (other than use a different camera) Thank you all in advance. ian
  12. A winter walk in the lost village - former military training area - now centre of a national park. From this perspective it looks not too bad, hidden by trees there is the old school building and the church from the original village, which was given up after WW2. (SL 2 & VE 24-90mm) Approaching the village from the other side you will find the last "buildings" constructed to practice house combat. SL2 & VE 90-280mm, focus stacked. ...in the village...VE 24-90mm In the area around the village you find left overs of older houses, also build only for "practicing"... Summicron 50SL
  13. SummiluxM 75 @ f4 with MP 240
  14. Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous and photographed waterfalls in Iceland, most known for being photographed from behind the water. Since I like to go to Iceland in winter, both for my Workshops and for my personal work, that is never possible: the access to the waterfall's back is closed due to the snow. This, however, opens up new creative possibilities to portray this amazing waterfall surrounded by icicles and looking like it's digging in the snow. Black & white, for me, was the obvious choice for this. Leica SL, Voigtlander 15mm and filters Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri
  15. They were also surprised by the unexpected snow today.
  16. Picked one up recently and had my first time out with it after a snow storm. Hmm won't let me upload any more files....
  17. My first photo with my first Leica! Approaching the Geyser basin in Yellowstone on the Snow Road and the the cold temperature generates clouds of billowing steam against the sun. The lone tree on the plane of the old volcano basin provides context amongst the field of crisp cold snow.

  20. Same house at spring during evening, and just a few days ago mid-day where I used a heavy snowfall to hide landscape. Thanks for looking! Bi-house by fotoalf, on Flickr House_griff_2 by fotoalf, on Flickr
  21. Just a documentation of a summer snowfall in my hometown Tromsø, Norway. June_17_Tromsoe_2 by fotoalf, on Flickr
  22. Till now we had only one single day with snow. So we went out hunting for a couple of hours. We were quite busy because of manifold motifs. This was one last sight before turning home. Canon 5D MKII + Elmarit R 28 mm
  23. The last sunday was the only day we had snow here. We started for a place in our city where there was field and forest both because we wanted to vocer as much as possible for a couple of hours. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 28 mm
