Hello, I took a trip on a sailing ship half around Europe, from the Netherlands to Portugal. Here I like to show a few pictures from it. I decided to take my good old M 240 with me and wondered that she survived. She got sprayed with salt water, was dangling against the made of steel bowsprit or other things, stays wet most of the time and slipped together with me about 4 meters along the floor of the deckhouse in a storm to be stopped from some tables and banks. Close to a total loss in some situations, but stills she works. Wow! Day is dawning on the Atlantic Furling the sails Around sunddown To be continued. Best regards Frank

I live in a major seaport and it should be no surprise that shipping has always been a keen interest of mine from the moment I first picked up a camera. Yesterday I took advantage of the great weather to capture this vehicle carrier alongside using my 90mm lens from the opposite shore, and this is the uncropped result. To people living here this is quite a modest size at nearly 69,000 tonnes and vessels like this are regular visitors on their round-the-world routes.
