Hello people, I am a newbie, both to this forum and leica, so please forgive me if i ask stupid or outdated questions...
so basically i'm trying to decide on a 21mm lens... i've heard people saying that you buy the Lux for the large aperture for low light and creative shooting and you buy the SEM for higher quality landscape photography.... but still wanna hear from your experience, is it correct to say that 21/3.4 produces better IQ than 21/1.4 throughout? i.e. only real shortfall of 21/3.4 is the small aperture?? Or, if you stop down 21/1.4 to f3.4 and smaller the IQ is comparable or same as 21/3.4?
and would the discontinued 21/2.8 ASPH be a good compromise in aperture size and IQ???
Not considering other factors such as price, size/weight, non-Leica lenses... Thank you all in advance....
