Dear all, I inherited several screwmount Lenses and want to try /use them on my M10M. I bought a Rayqual adapter 50/75. I’d need a second one and a 28 and a 35 as well. I saw some other brands such as K&F are much cheaper (1/3 of the price !) Do you have any experience with adapters, which brand do you advise ? Thanks a lot Didier

I effectively ruined my hideously expensive multifocal eyeglasses with LTM-photography (Leica II & III, FED & Zorki) . A little too late, I started experimenting with various washers etc but found that most items increase the viewing distance and lead to incomplete viewfinder / rangefinder coverage, which is restricted enough with eyeglasses on classic LTMs anyway. There may be some professional solutions around, but I have come up with a low cost, dispensable item, which may not be perfect on aesthetic grounds, but works very well in the field for me. I did not bother with geometric perfection . I used a 12 mm and a 6 mm punching tool respectively, and some general adhesive cloth tape from the hardware store. My new eyeglasses will arrive next week Kind regards Mathias

I am fortunate enough to have a SBOOI 50 mm Brightline Viewfinder I can attach to the mounting shoe of my Leica III (1933), however I've noticed the framing isn't always accurate(ish) – even taking the parallax lines into account. I know the SBOOI is a much later addition to the Leica line (1951) so probably wasn't intended for a 1933 camera(?) and I've read that there is a mounting shoe height difference between original Leica IIIs and later c/f/g models etc. that can cause discrepancies in framing (more than normal). So my question is: Have you also found that to be the case? If so, what are your methods for adjusting for it (if you do)? Many thanks.

I'm in love, folks. My IIIf + Summiron f/1.5 finally came back from DAG (only 8 months!) It's an amazing piece of craftsmanship, photographic heritage... and a real pleasure to use! For valentine's day, I put together a little "camera porn" video to ignite the passion in our hearts:

Chester County Balloon Festival, Pennsylvania, USA The afternoon was too windy for balloons so we had to amuse ourselves otherwise. I'm learning how to shoot with my new (to me) Leica III. Leica III (1937), Elmar 5cm/3.5, Neopan 100 @ ISO200, D-76 Developer Two Balloons Festival Crowd Bored in the Grass
