[ I did not find a pertinent thread via forum search; if this is a duplicate question, please be so kind to provide a link, otherwise feel free to answer ] What adapters can be reliably used on the M10 for e.g. a classic LTM Elmar 50 mm in your experience? In older threads (pre M10), the three most widely recommended were - Original Leitz (50mm seems to be a bit scarce on the market) - Voigtländer - CameraQuest/ Rayqual (seem unavailable in Europe) The M10 has been reported to be more finicky with regard to 6 bit coding. Is it also more of a diva with regard to adapters? I have read the caveats about collapsing; now I am looking out for an adapter... Thanks, Mathias

Hi I need some advice on purchasing my first Leica My budget is 2400 Eur I shoot B&w tri-x favorite focal lenght 35mm I love the look of Medium format....(tonality) never managed to get that in 135 format the only thing that is close enough for me is the summicron 50 DR and 35/2 IV pre-asph version (with the asph better @F2) important to me fun factor tonality more than sharpness (do not shoot that much to be able to change film and play with the push/pull depending on the light) like the looks of the screw mount, or black M2/M4/MP (out of my price range) need F2. I have a rolleiflex for picture quality and a Nikon F2+FM2 for evrything else....it may be GAS but it's a special lifetime occasion for me If it is to expensive it's not too fun to shoot with Bessas feels cheap and I want t o be able to pass the camera to my son sooner or later Dilema: I'm thorn apart between an M2 + summicron v4 35/2 and a leica III/IIIa with summaron (love to have the summicron in screw mount but the 8 element LTM is out of my price range I think)+ voigtlander extenal VF My mind says M2 my heart says leica III. What would you say? thanks in advance for you advice

I found this Carl Zeiss Jena lens for Leica SM (M39) at a flea market. This is what I could find about it: The Herar should be cheaper opportunity to the Carl Zeiss Biogon. It was originally produced for the Contax mount. The lens was produced around 500-1000 times. The one i found appears to be a prototype/sample for the Leica screw mount M39. It has a connection for the range finder and the aperture can be controlled with the front ring of the lens. It was produced before 1939. I hope I got everything right. My two questions: Are the infos are all right (age, Version etc.) and since inform own a Leica with drew Mount I want to sell it. What is the right price? (I only found two offers online both around 3000usd, is it really worth that much?) I also read that one was sold at a Auction at Christies in 1992. I’m very thankful for any held or answer ✌🏻
