a few roses are showing what they are capable of in these last wonderful late summer days. 5D MKII with R Elmarit 90 mm The red color is as always a challende. This time I used Topaz filters and Helicon Focus trying to bring out the red glow and its velvet texture.

My friend has a small garden, in a perfect shelter from all atrocities of cold and nasty blowing winds. With a tripod I could not reach down to these small blossoms ithout trampling on small hedges. So nothing else helped but kneeling down, shoot handheld and placing a reflector to give some light from a hazy, almost overcast morning sky. All with Olympus OMD EM5 + R 60 mm macro Elmarit.

after the bombardement of hailscones was over I hurried to the garden to inspect the situation. Here are the survivors of the grim attack. Both with Canon 5D MKII+Elmarit R 60 mm, handheld - no time for any setup

in this summer there is plenty of waterdrops falling on flowers that one cannot resist taking pictures. This rose is in our garden and was taken with 90mm Elmarit mounted on my MKII. Also beauties are touched by the mark of passing time. I could have photophopped the gras on the left side but decided for leaving it as it is. Come along and have a look for which I thank everybody very much in advance for taking time.
