  2. Hi ! I need your help and knowledge I own a leicaflex SL and the Sl 2 black. The leicaflex SL that I own is in really neat condition but the weak part of those model is the red plastic lens lock button. And this piece snapped in two this week. (see pictures attached). The screw and the sping attached to the red button are intact. (see pictures) I am looking for a replacement' s piece, I do know it's a common thing on those model to have this weak part to snap. I read somewhere that a METAL LENS LOCK BUTTON has been created and distributed for the Leica SL as a replacement for this common issue. But i can't seem to easily find it online (US or EUROPE market - I'm From France). Do you guys know where I can find a spare leicaflex lens lock button ? Is there a 3D printed 's piece maybe ? If someone is recreating leica pieces through 3d model to share Thanks a million ! Regards B.

  8. Sometimes if the weather is prmising I drive up to my secret small place at a peat bog lake. It is very small and one can spend there a couple of hours sitting on a campstool, watching geese, swallows catching flies and watch people on their small boats. Leica Q, 4 shots, handheld
  9. In our city we have a nice Christmas Market and I go there often (every year with a new camera as it seems) to shoot my Christmas Cards. That day it rained but it did no harm to the Q although it god a bit wet and had to be wiped a few times.
  10. This park, as mentioned before, is on my way to my office. These days I take my little X1 with me very often, for every days provides a different quality of light. Tghere is a pond and a wonderfule delcate littel Japanese Maple Tree with a wonderful red dress. X1
  11. These are very tranquil mild october days here. The sun, if it comes out is already very low. It then spreads a warm golden light. Wen I go to work I cross a little park and took my X1 to get the last glowing colors before they will be torn be one of those storms later on. X1 in the morning in a slightly humid air
  12. The Blue Hour was promising after a couple of days with cotinuous rain and gry depressing sky. A few nice bylanes with historic buildings we have and at this hour nobody was there and I enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. 2.0 - 1/50- ISO 800 Leica Q

  15. On monday when coming home from my work the sky changed into a promising foreboding glow. I grabbed my stuff in haste, snatched a sturdy tripod, snatched my raincovers and when I sat in the car it started raining. As I reached my location it seemed as if the major downpour happened somewhere else. In front of my eyes there unfolded a spectacular light and cloud formstion. I could not run for a better vantage point because light changed very quickly. Canon 5 D MKII with R Elmarit 28 mm and Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron. The colors were as such, processed from RAW the files only underwent a small correction in contrast and came out of the camera in these incredible colors. I used a GND filter for the Elmarit which gave me about 3 f-stops freedom for exposure. EM 5, Nocticron, 4 pictures pano

  18. Just got my M10 and have been somewhat disappointed by the colors. In some circumstances, they’re absolutely great. In others (and shooting situations which I frequently shoot - backlit subjects who have lighter skin tones), they fall apart when I do any serious color grading. I’ve attached a link for reference. Notice the majority of influence over the skin tones is determined by the purple slider. In my experience on professional Canon systems (as well as Fuji), skin tones are generally captured in the Oranges, Reds, and Yellows. On occasion, I’ve noticed them “bleeding” into the Purples/Magentas, but generally it’s an easy correction with a hue adjustment toward red in Lightroom. This has happened more on my Fuji gear than my Canon, which I thought was just a product of the XTRANS. Images for reference. Note: I’ve increased each slider to 100 to illustrate the influence of the respective slider, not as an artistic decision. https://imgur.com/gallery/mFTvTGz I’ve had to do more “additive” color editing (color grading with added oranges/yellows in the mid tones) to get even close to the effect I desire to be consistent with my professional body of work, but it’s tedious and feels more like a workaround as opposed to simply a different process. Is this a hallmark of these sensors? Has anyone else had an issue with skin tones merging into the purples? The issue here is that it doesn’t give me precise and consistent control over tonalities which are consistent with my other work. Not only that, but as opposed to adjusting a couple of sliders to produce the look, I’m adjusting literally three times more to try and get close and, eventually compromise, on the desired look. Also, here is an attached photo with the exposure info as well as histogram illustrating that I’m shooting at base ISO, and exposed with the limitations of the M10 sensor in mind. https://imgur.com/gallery/v2EPnGf I want to add that I’ve been shooting for over a decade. This certainly isn’t my first rodeo. The only thing left for me to try is making my own custom color profile, but in over a decade of shooting, this has never been a requisite to get the colors I want out of my photos. Does the M10-R improve on any of these shortcomings? Also, I want to preempt against any comments telling me I’m just confused or apologetics from Leica koolaid mixers. I’ve read some responses on this forum before from some of them and they seem to be obstinately opposed to the notion that perhaps the sensors in these cameras aren’t as good. While DXOMark gives the M10 a higher overall score than my 6D, in my experience, the colors are more pliable. Finally, my artistic discretion is going to differ from yours. I have seen a lot of photos posted here in discussion which are also effectively SOOC, with minimal correction. I have a stylized look I go for, which requires flexible colors.
  19. Gives the term "red scale elmar" a whole new meaning! Distance seems to be in both feet and meters? I guess you can get these "reproductions" in what ever color you want.

It was time for a selfie with the CL and some off camera flashes.🤣 Nobody home to help out, remote app not working with CL, Godox trigger and Voigtländer lens. Back to self timer and guessing position in front of lens.

  22. Did you need the yellow filter for the clouds? Could similar or same be achieved post? Having specified a Q2M I wonder whether I should be looking out to fit yellow or orange glass in front of all that nice Q2M design?
