What’s the cropability like with the Q2M. I quite often shoot with a 35mm & 50mm on my M10-P but am considering the options of swapping it out for a Q2M. Just wondering how much you can crop before the image quality particularly degrades.

Last week i made this photo with a Q2M. ISO 25.000 at 1/50 shutter speed. Today i looked at it again, only to find out it suddenly looked horrible. How could this be possible? Is it my laptop? (MB Pro 2015). I used an old version of Lightroom (Lightroom 5).

Is there a Leica or 3rd party larger Eyecup that works well with Q2/Q2M? I'm a glasses wearer, and I am looking a solution that would help in bright light.

Only Monochrome profile available in ACR (13.1) - any info on when Camera Matching profiles will be added?

Is there a profile/icc or something to which I can calibrate? It all goes pear-shaped after running the forum's image upload procedure - appears darkly dim. Have to lighten extensively just to apparently get something reasonable - in gamma terms. Keeping a spare set of edits hacked 'way light' - just for the Leica forum - seems an unduly crass process to have to adopt. My EIZO is self-calibrating. I REALLY don't have it over-bright (120 cd/m2) ...more the opposite. I find modern flat panels achingly bright. Tend to use 16bit AdobeRGB system-wide and downshift to 8bit sRGB for the WWW. W10PRO browser is Chrome (or Vivaldi - a Chrome fork). Edge (itself a virtual Chrome fork) is currently even more of a PITA after the latest updates [sic]. MS HQ hasn't twigged that (some) cookies are not being saved so everything from the wheel upwards has to be re-invented each access. While using C1 (Capture One 20 PRO) have tried outputting (Process Recipe in Phaseone-speak) using ICC profiles sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and Adobe RGB 1988 without satisfaction. 'Best' one so far has been Phase One Grey G2.2 but think I may need '2.4' or '2.5' to get anywhere near the forum's sweet spot - as it were. Any idea if these are available anywhere? Scratching head:-/

I looked around, but could not find the thread where the Match Technical Lens Cap for Leica Q and Q2 Cameras was discussed/mentioned well, OP/TECH USA Hood Hat does fit the Q2M eith oem lens shade very nicely, but does not have the lanyard with clip and eyelet. The saved $40.00 likely will give me plenty of choice to get or make my own lanyard

Typically Exposure Preview works fine wide open. However, when stopped down to say f16 with subject matter in dim lighting, the option 'Exposure Preview > P-A-S' (vice P-A-S-M) should apparently keep the viewing (EVF or LCD) bright. Unexpectedly it doesn't, the view shows as being stopped down. Whereas, with a relatively brighter subject matter scene using f16, the preview stays bright (eg with the no exposure preview setting obeyed for manual focusing). Not easy to explain simply... Searching - found this in <Leica CL / TL / TL2 / T Forum> circa 2018. I don't see the then described snatched frames stuff but rather that the Q2M just plain stops down which ignores the set option 'Exposure Preview > P-A-S'. Seems to behave as though I had optioned the default 'Exposure Preview > P-A-S-M' or just plain ignores the set option in dim lighting. Experimented by setting 'Exposure Preview > P-A-S-M' directly in the main menu and also as a thumbwheel option but I imagine they both work as one and the same. It's really not a biggie but if somebody could confirm this either as a bug/buglet/feature or just that I've misinterpreted how the Q2M firmware should be working 😉

The manual focus' Magnification setting (x3 x6) does not specifically appear in the main menu. Whereas it can be optioned indirectly by defining Magnification in the Fn or the thumbwheel programmable areas. Shortage of firmware memory or missed out accidently? [ whilst in the actual manual focus screen ] Easiest method is by clicking the virtual joystick centre button to toggle through x3 & x6 (EVF or LCD). Quite why the top right icon stuff shows or declares [SET] seems pointless. The virtual joystick arrow buttons also directly steer the particular view being magnified (EVF or LCD). Neat though necessarily quite slow.
