I purchased my Leica M11 Monochrom in July of this year. I have updated it to the latest 2.0.1 firmware. The lens attached 100 percent of the time is the LLL 50 F2.0 ELCAN and it saves files to a UHSII 300MB/s Sandisk 128gb SD card. Recently while shooting continous low or high, after a certain amount of bursts, I see a partial or full screen black areas that appear on live view and in the DNG files. What could be the cause of this? I aim currently on holiday in Japan and am looking to have it serviced at their Ginza service center. They claim to be able to repair by replacing my shutter but will take three weeks. I would have to fly back into tokyo in three weeks time if what they say is true. Can I take their word for it that it will only take three weeks? I eagerly await your helpful comments and suggestions

Has anybody had intermittent TTL flash issues with the R8? I get random firing of the SF-58, particularly with movement of the camera, and sometimes no flash on shutter release. Inside, low light, and with program mode the viewfinder shows f/5.6 @ 1/250 as it should. Contacts are clean, wiggling the flash at the foot doesn't make it fire. Camera, flash or the coupling of the two? The phenomena does not seem to occur with a SF-24D, though i have no negatives to review yet. R8 serial # 243xxxx. I've had no other problems with this camera.

I have an original Monochrome ... Lately the with a Fully Charged Battery I am getting Error Messages .... No Battery or No SD Card when both are In the Camera and then the Camera will simply stop working ... Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone have Experience with these Error Messages and a Solution Short of sending the Camera Back to Leica for Repairs ...

This happened when the 3/2016 LFI issue was released I still can not buy any newer magazines and the 1960s old LFI issues I went to buy an issue to click the buy button it had the spinning gear for a minute and eventually timed out error I have good internet connection I have tried it through wi fi and 4g networks Still no better I tried using on another iPad no better I even tried un installing the app and reinstalling the app I have even tried logging out of iTunes and sign back in again I have even gone to Apple Store and tried to sort it out with the Genius Bar he installed it on his iPad and still having the same problem on his ipad I have contacted the LFI support and communicated with them many times They are still looking into the the problem anybody else having the same problem?

My 240MP viewfinder shows the 28mm frame line no matter what lens I have mounted--35mm, 50mm, 90mm. I turn them all to the lock position, but the frame lines read only the 28/135 boxes. Any ideas? Or do I have to send it back to Leica?

Hello to everybody and happy new year from Italy! I'm wondering if no one has experienced this problem during sequences bracketing. Nothing serious, just a nuisance. My SL (firmware 1.2) set up this way: DNG + JPG (JPG-L); Lexar two 64GB SDXC cards 1000X II (1 + 2 mode); AE braketing with 5 shots Well, my SL produces five regular DNG + JPG plus a sixth strangely corrupted JPG file. I recently bought a M240. Now in Norway there has been two days with temperatures around zero degrees celsius. I went out shooting both days, and both days the same thing happened. Suddenly and without warning the camera seemed to lock itself. None of the buttons worked. I could still fire the shutter, but no pictures were recorded. Anyone have a clue?

Hey everyone, I just recently got hold of this beautiful 35 summicron ASPH although i have a slight issue... The front ring where you clip the hood onto and screw additional filters into spins freely around, this doesn't not seem to be effecting any of the glass elements. I've read a few things of people saying they had the same problem and it's just something inside that needs tightening, screws or something? I'm normally pretty competent when it comes to fixing things but this is something i don't feel comfortable doing this as i don't want to risk it. Has anyone else had the same issue? Thanks. (i can include diagrams if need be)

After reading several threads about problems with the new M9, I thought to ask. Do you have flawless copy of M9, which didn't go through Solms service with a long wait?
