Hello fellow Leica enthusiasts, Caver and R6 user from Canada here. Below is my caving/spelunking camera of choice. Cleans off fine every time and has survived numerous falls, splashes, bumps, etc. without visible damage. More dent resistant than some of the other brass cameras I’ve seen out there. The prism housing is very rigid and well sealed. Everything else not so much but not much has gotten into the base plate of the camera and there is enough room to accommodate a custom seal. The flash is a Metz 54mz4. For my first few trips I mainly just bounced off of different surfaces at various angles and EV compensations on TTL mode. This worked well for a good number of photos and situations. It also kept my camera compact when I’m bouldering or traversing through tight tunnels. However there are some inherent problems with that so nowadays I use a soft box and another wireless flash concurrently which works way better. As for lenses I only have the 50mm Summicron-r V2 and the 28mm Elmarit-r V1 which I use when I'm in the cave itself. Definitely a pain in the ass to swap lenses and it's the main reason why I want to get the Leica r 35-70 f4 when I have the money or if I find a good deal (I'm a broke student and labourer). Few weeks ago, I use my M9-P compared to Kodak 35mm film (Portra 160 & 800). Honestly, I don't think how good is M9 series image performance, but the CCD do makes M9 series become the unique one in Leica digital camera. Hello, I recently published my M2 user experience in my blog using Summaron35 f2. 8 and Summicron35 version 4.All were taken with Kodak Portra400. The M2 with these 2 lens are amazing. I'm selling my 21mm Super Angulon f/4 M mount in favor of something a little more "practical". While in Cuba earlier this year, I found myself using the Zeiss 28mm f/2.8 on my Contax G2 quite a bit but for my next few trips, I'll bring only a couple of M bodies (M7 & Typ 246). I really love the results that I got out of my Zeiss and am wondering if I should go with another Zeiss (25mm f/2.8 or 28mm f/2.8) OR a new-ish 28mm Elmarit ASPH. So my two questions are "is the Elmarit ASPH quality worth more than double the price of a used Zeiss 25mm or 28mm?" and "In order to keep my work consistent, should I just stick with the Zeiss 28mm f/2.8 for the way it renders colors?" Examples of my work in Cuba with the 28mm f/2.8 on the Contax G2 below. Both photos with Portra 400.

Hey, I went to Vietnam this summer and shot a series that was among other featured on the leica camera blog. You can check that out here: http://blog.leica-camera.com/2016/09/25/lounging-in-vietnam/ But of course I shot a lot more than just those few images in the series! So I still had a ton of photos from my trip to Vietnam buried in Lightroom. I haven’t posted any of them anywhere because I couldn’t really figure out how to arrange them in a story that would make any sense. Also most of these photos are a tad too touristy for my taste. But since I still really like them and can’t stand the thought of never showing them I decided to split them up into a couple of smaller sets and post them on my blog - of course fully aware that tumblr is pretty much dead these days. But hey, any place is better than the depths of my hard drive. All photo are taken with a Leica M6 and the 35mm Summicron IV on Kodak Portra 160 or 400.
