  5. Last weekend the fall colours were at its peak,. Temperatures were extremely mild being up to 20!° Celsius. No rain had fallen, so there was a dream of goldrush because the foliage was almost complete. I was at the location at 7:30. It was just in time for getting the glow on the pond. Yet it remained half shaded because the rocks were locking the sun. The sky was deep blue and a pale morning moon was still there. All with Olympus and Nocticron 43 mm/ 1.2
  6. Tis pond belongs to our local "Stonehenge" a formation or strange rocks being the rest of an ice age moraine. For many people it is a place for centemplation and all sort of meditation. This morning was one of theos e extremely mild late october/early november days. No breeze, no rain, the foliage was in full color. I always imagine the sound of Richard Wagner's Lohengrin and I am waiting then for a while to see him appear with his swan. Olmypus EM 5 + Nocticron 43 mm/ 1.2
  7. The pleasure of a tranquil walk during snowfall is so rare here that I enjoyed this walk very much. Specially I like the all the noises are muted.
  8. Hi folks, I see all sorts of exotic places in this forum. Here are some pics I have taken in my neck of the woods. I live in Gordon (a southern suburb) in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia....
  9. this is the pond of a reconstructed village of the Demold Open-Air museum which is open on the second weekend of december on the occasion of an advent market. 11. every morning when I go to my office I walk through a little park at our main hospital. When light is promising theX1 is my companion for the day. Since it is dark in the morning an dark when going home such a sight in the morning is a gift for the day.
  12. This pond I pass every day on my walk to my office. The red color is the reflection of a part of a characteristic building of our city: the main hospital. Light was nice and a very thin fragile layer of ice was there. Very often if morning light is promising my Olympus EM5 joins me and more and more the Leica R lenses are becoming my favourites here. This time it was the 60 mm macro Elmarit.
  13. this is a pond which is during daytime frequented by dogs. One of the most beautiful resort places is a paradise for dogs because they are allowed roaming there unleashed. We avoid going there during daytime but in the evening at dusk the place gets back its peaceful atmopshere and other animals come forward. Then also I have seen an egret and hundreds of toads in their mating season. MKII with R Summicron 50 mm
  14. this pond, a small water reservoir, is the destination for my daily breaktime walk. These days my X1 is my perfect companion when there is no time for big equipment. In front one can see the underwater dam. Thanks for stopping by.
  15. Since spring has stopped for a while here I was searching my files for some color and found these from the pond of our local Botanical Garden. Feel free to count the leaves and thanks for looking.
