  11. this little lower I discovered in a bylane where people have nice gardens and foregardens. This lower did unfold its beauty simply down at the pavement at the fence. If the blossom at the right side is disturbing one can remove it easily. Let me know. Olympus OMD EM5 with Elmarit & 60 mm macro
  12. This is also from the weekend, that calm rainy day in our Botanical Garden. It was drizzling and a faint thunder runmbling could be heard. Looking for some inspiration I found this single tulip. Canon 5D MKII on tripod, Olympus OMD EM5 handheld Olympus OMD EM5 with Elmarit R 60 mm macro Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 180 mm

  15. The first cherry trees are blossoming. This one was in our Botanical Garden. There was a last hazed sun disappearing behind the hill and this bit of light I gave back into the blossom with a reflector Olympus EM5 with Elmarit 90 mm. Since it was a bit windy and speed had to be 1/250 sec. so, the other parameters were quite fixed then.
  16. this is a 1 km long street in my hometown. It is unique in our region if not in Germany. Every year it is an attraction not only for insiders. It is very difficult to capture this pink paradise because you have always a backdrop of plain more or less dull houses. All shots had to be handheld since twigs with those bunches of blossoms were bobbing nicely in a warm summerlike breeze. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 180 mm
  17. again: every day our Botanical Garden has something different to show. Tulips are smashed after rain. But now all types of azaleas are in full swing. Canon 5D MKII Elmarit R 180 mm Olympus OMD EM5 Elmarit R 60 mm macro Canon 5D MKII Elmarit R 180 mm
  18. our gardens has also something to offer these days. And if trying out a new combo there is some advantage if you do not need to haul everything along. Here I tried my Olympus OMD EM5 with the R Elmarit 60 mm macro + APO 2x converter. No tripod, windy weather and lots of bad focussed pictures. I had to grapple with a rather shallow DOF but the Elmarit is a pleasure to handle.

  22. yesterday it rained an when I reached at my friend who keeps a delightful square of small garden, it stopped and I could try to find a few frames where as I had to be careful not to step on anything because only a few stone steps are free to step on. One bee even started during this evening time to get some honey. Olympus EM5 with Nocticron
  23. My friend has a small garden, in a perfect shelter from all atrocities of cold and nasty blowing winds. With a tripod I could not reach down to these small blossoms ithout trampling on small hedges. So nothing else helped but kneeling down, shoot handheld and placing a reflector to give some light from a hazy, almost overcast morning sky. All with Olympus OMD EM5 + R 60 mm macro Elmarit.
  24. these days thunderstorms are constantly menacing. On such an evening yet I went to out Botanical Garden. As soon as the setup was installes (tripod, flash, reflector) it started the downpour and a windgush let the flowers sway.
