Hi there, I am new to this forum as I recently purchased a used Leica Q2. Si finally also found a way into this forum Are you guys in the favour of seeing a single pic per post, or a series rather than a single picture? Would be intersted in your favourite way of looking at pictures. Any constructive critisim is mostly welcome.

Another from my latest film back from the lab. This was taken on the M7 prior to getting rid of it (big mistake!) using the 35mm Summarit-M f2.5. Film is Kodak T-Max400 processed by Harman Labs who do a pretty good job. No idea of exposure (sorry) but was available light only. I particularly love the face of the little child in the background. I took this charming image candidly at my favourite café. It is not my normal practice to talk to my subjects, but if there are children involved I normally introduce myself and explain what I have done and ask for permission to use the image. I don't recall ever having been refused, although it is slightly more awkward shooting film as opposed to digital because you cannot show the parent the image. This young mother was quite happy with what I had done. Leica M7 + 35mm Summarit-M f2.5 using Kodak T-Max 400 and only available light. 1/125 @ f2.8

While I was sat having coffee in my favourite spot this morning this young lady came and stood immediately in front of me. To her I must have been invisible because I simply raised my camera to my eye, focused, and pressed the button. She was probably only about a meter away from me but her thoughts were obviously somewhere else. I used available light. Leica M240 + 50mm Summicron-M f2. 1/180 f2.8 @ 320iso. This is full frame and processed in Lightroom Classic. Gerry

"He likes to pose" his owner said when I asked for permission to photograph, and he certainly did! Leica M7 + 35mm Summarit-M f2.5/ Film was Kodak T-Max400 commercially processed and then scanned at home. The shadows were a bit of a problem but the scanner (Plustek 8200i + Silverfast) got through them well. Gerry

I have shot very little this past year for various health and Covid reasons. Here is one that I was pleased with from my favourite café. It is a grab shot as I just had the camera resting on the table and didn't look through the viewfinder. Leica M7 + 35mm Summarit-M f2.5. Kodak T-Max 400 at 400. No exposure values recorded. Commercially processed and scanned at home. Gerry

I am slowly managing to get out more now, ands back in my usual coffee shop yesterday. I couldn't resist taking a candid image of this young lady at the counter because of her height. She must have been about 1.8 metres. Leica M240 + 35mm Summarit f2.5 @ 1250 iso. 1/250 @ f2.8 and post-processed in Lightroom Classic. Gerry

It was great to finally be able to get out to my favourite cafe yesterday and drink coffee with a friend I haven't seen since Christmas. I have been having problems with my knee and have found walking almost impossible but thankfully I am just using one stick now. This is one image I grabbed whilst sat outside the cafe in the beautiful sunshine Leica M240 + 35mm Summarit f2.5 Gerry

I haven't posted for quite some time because being a street photographer when there is virtually nobody on the streets during these crazy times is difficult. This was taken prior to the time when we knew the term COVID-19 in 2017. Leica M7 + 35mm Summarit-MM f2.5. Fuji Neopan 400CN (C-41) film commercially processed and then scanned by me. Gerry

Paris has always been a special place for street photography for me and, although I haven't been there for far too long, I try and emulate the work of its' great photographers such as HC-B, Robert Doisneau and (dare I say) Peter Turnley. For me it is like fishing on a great trout stream in that you are always bound to have a good catch. This was taken in 2000 using my M6 and Kodak T-Max 400 film home processed. I think it was with the 50mm Summicron lens, although I can't be 100% sure. Gerry
