  2. I like this one very much. It was taken in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the Ibirapuera Park last month. I saw two kids playing with those colorful umbrellas and grabbed this shot. I was with my M8u and my beloved M-Hexanon 21-35mm Dual range set to 21mm. thanks for looking!
  3. I was just leaving the waterside park area when I spotted this guy. I was already driving so I drove back around the park and parked up so that I could catch him. It had just been pouring with rain so I think he stopped under the tree to take shelter, but he then sat on the wet grass. Leica M240 + 35mm Summarit f2.5. Shot as .dng and converted to black and white in Lightroom Classic. Hope you like it Gerry
  4. M7 w/50mm Summicron on Arista 400 Premium developed in HC 110B for 4.5 minutes at 75F
  5. These are very tranquil mild october days here. The sun, if it comes out is already very low. It then spreads a warm golden light. Wen I go to work I cross a little park and took my X1 to get the last glowing colors before they will be torn be one of those storms later on. X1 in the morning in a slightly humid air
  6. Here are now somes samples of golden autumn colors. The trees have only started now turning into yellow. I wonder whether there will be really strong colors his year. I think one has to wait a bit more. Still, deep in the forest there is much green. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 28 mm
  7. This park, as mentioned before, is on my way to my office. These days I take my little X1 with me very often, for every days provides a different quality of light. Tghere is a pond and a wonderfule delcate littel Japanese Maple Tree with a wonderful red dress. X1
  8. This is part 2 of my bw series. Sometimes bw is "color" enough. The rich shade of monochrome tones is amnifold and exciting enough. Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron 43 mm
  9. That day in early october started promising with a cold temperatures, clear air and a golden light. I decided to roam ina nearby park on a hill in my hometown. Light was gorgeous so I could not make up my mind and processed a bw series from those pictures which were being planned as such. Olympus EM 5 with Summilux
  10. This is a park which belongs to an attraction of a rock formation from the ice age moraine. It is an hour's drive from my home so one can be there at 7 a.m. very easliy. But recently I found myself not being the only photographer there. Somebody else enjoyed this early morning bliss as well. Olympus EM 5 + Nocticron
  11. There is a place with magic qualities as people believe. It is a park landscape at the feet of some monumentl rocks being the relics of an ice age moraine. wth its pond and beauiful landscape people are attracted here to perform all kinds of meditation. Some people even had a tent there and somebody was calling his comrades for coffee... Olympus EM 5 + Nocticron 43 mm/ 1.2
  12. …on a cold winter's afternoon. In the left background, the Star & Garter home for military veterans, now sold to a developer to convert into luxury apartments...
  13. Since could finish processing the pictures from my recent Hong Kong trip I can start to post a few series. To start with I can tell you that one of the best parks in Hong kong is the "Kowloon Walled City Park". The Walled City was once a stronghold of the Triads, having transformed the quarter of a British Garnison, into a solid mass of housing where the police feared to go even. From our hotel in the neighbpourhood old the old "Kai Tak Airport" it was only a short 20 minutes walk. The government finally decided to tear down the Walled City and transformed it into one of the most beautiful parks and Chinese Gardens in the city. People simply go there to relax, you can find there many Thai girls and women there who work as nannnies for Chinese households. If being in Hong Kong one should not miss this place. Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron
  14. Last Weekend we went to a city on occasion of a firework to the city of Dortmund. As it took place in an illuminated park we spent a couple of hours there and felt as if being in a colorful fairy tale. (My shots with 5DMKII+Mamiya zoom lens can be seen on my Flickr account) Olympus EM 5 with Summilux 15 mm used as back-up camera. It was also good to have a fast prime lens which had to be handheld, since the tripod word with the heavier camera. Enjoy the color burst!
  15. It was a lovely warm and pleasant evening. The park was crowded with students. It was fun watching their different activities Olympus OMD EM5 with Leica/Panasonic Nocticron 42.5/1.2 Asph.
  16. I visited a photo and adventure fair. The location was one of those industrial sites once being the heart of the German steel production and mining industry and energy supply. In the ruhr-Gebiet you can find an eldorado for photogrpahers. Her there were many of them exploring the buildings. Many were open accessible and being meant for trying out things. The Leic Q was the camera of the choice for that day and it was sheer fun. Exposure was extremely challenging with a bright overcast sky and the dark contrasty and rusty objects. Two types of jungle
