It's been pointed out to me that you can access your old images by clicking on the triangle next to your name and clicking 'attachments' - as I result I've been able to locate some old images that I thought were lost forever - thanks Pete (farnz) for pointing this out !! This lead me to thinking that it would be nice if we built a record of previous One Challenges, so that they could be easily accessed by forum members, for fun and historic interest I've begun this tread for the Paris 2006 One Challenge and perhaps we might build separate threads for the other challenges So, if you have images from the Paris 2006, why not post them here..!!

Dear All, From my reconnaissance earlier this year, everything feels two hours later than the rest of Europe and my advice is to go with the body clock and not the round clock. Even though I normally eat around 7pm, in Seville I was not hungry until after 9pm. I will be booking this restaurant for 9pm and for the One Challenge I will be controversial and say that we meet up at 1pm and not the regular noon. I have not picked a venue for the afternoon meetup. Here is the menu for us, priced at €35. There were options for €40 or €45 per head, but I have asked if the wagyu beef can be offered on the €35 menu. Dear All, 12 Oct (second weekend of October) is the current date for the 2019 One Challenge. I propose that due to the 12 October being the National Day for Spain (Day of Hispanica) we change the weekend of the One Challenge to the week before. The primary reason being logistics - hotels will be more expensive and restaurants/cafes that are open will also be a challenge. And One Challenge is enough, methinks. I propose 5 October for the Saturday of the One Challenge and dinner. What say you?

Take this as advance notice of the Australasian One Challenge to be contested in Melbourne on April 8, 2017. The usual rules of competition will apply and all and sundry are cordially invited to make a sacrifice, similar to the Maya Indians, and make peace with your Bank Manager and book flights to Tullamarine (Melbourne International Airport). From there you will be regaled with confusing directions and compasses that work upside down, not to mention State Governor's who conduct business on their ear! Attendees at the Lisbon One Challenge will be further regaled with incentives and coercion's to make the 'short' trek south in April next year. A promo DVD has been prepared for handout to serious wannabees to illustrate what you will miss if you don't come. Any serious thoughts on preferred activities are invited, but I have several photo excursions planned out, well nearly. Of course, Melbourne is the centre of world cuisine so good nosh is a given all round. The formal dinner, post competition shoot, is tentatively planned to be catered for in a private 'gallery' where some familiar work may be found.

It's that time of year again folks, so herewith the details for the forthcoming Lisbon One Challenge. This is the "EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE LISBON ONE CHALLENGE, BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK" thread. Just a note for anyone who is not familiar with the One Challenge, it is a weekend centred around a competition with very simple rules: · One Leica camera body, or · One Leica lens (one focal length if using a camera with a zoom) · One film (or 36 digital exposures – on a trust basis and NO deletions along the way!) · Two hours from taking the first shot · One best shot of the roll chosen for submission · One winner of the entry fee pot Actually, what it’s really about is getting together in a different European city every year, meeting up with old friends and new ones, and generally having a jolly time. This is the thirteenth one, so I am pretty sure that we have the formula about right now If anyone has any queries, please ask!
