  3. When I get my new Noctilux f/.95 in the next few weeks should I get some ND filters so I can use it set to .95 during the day. Most of you say B+W are the best so what values do you think I need?
  4. Hi, I get some shots with my M at the Rollerderby here in Hamburg. Used lenses was the 24lux and the nocti. Maybe you like the pictures... Best wishes Stefan

  9. Greetings All, Quite pleased with this; from the tens of thousands of pictures from the world, one of mine makes 'Photos of the Day" in the Seattle Times: The Seattle Times: Photos of the Day: Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 Shot on a Leica M9 and Noctilux ASPH. :-) A short blog post on this: http://photothisandthat.co.uk/2011/10/08/seattle-times/ Cheers, Edmond
  10. http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/50mmfullframehyperprime-680x443.jpg http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2011/08/01/its-official-new-leica-m-mount-0-95-50mm-from-noktor-poll/ What are your thoughts on this? Will this be what puts this already bankrupt once company on the map or will it simply fade into obscurity? A poor mans noctilux for those that can't afford a noctilux and can't find a canon .95 perhaps?
  11. I've been wondering how much more light does the 0.95 lens allows in compared to the 1.4. Not easy to find what's the scale for anything less than f1. Thanks!

  13. Hi there, I have been shooting every day since I got this ultimate combo. One thing that really catches my attention is green fringes come around very often. Honestly, I never really paid much attention to the chromatic aberration before. It can be because the lenses used before are not that sharp ... nor expensive. I have been searching around for comments and discussions about chromatic aberration. There is a lot of comments saying that NX095 has a very good control on the usual blue/purple fringes. Also, the CA issue comes mostly in highlight area, and often overexposed. However, I do not seem to find much about green fringes. There are photos that the green fringes come around in very obvious highlight or overexposed edges. However, attached are samples that make me wonder a bit (if not concerned :-I The fringes are inside the red circles. These green fringes do not seem to come in very highlighted or overexposed areas. Are these green fringes an accepted "feature" of the NX095? So if I shoot with F4 and over they should not appear at all? In Lightroom 2 I find it rather difficult to correct the green ones, and so almost every time I need to spend quite some time to get rid of them in Photoshop ... I hope it is not a particular case for my copy of NX095,. And certainly I hope it is neither an issue the M9 at all (and in most of the comments I have read confirm this also).
  14. I have recently (and luckily) got my M9+NX095. Before that I read through all the reviews I could ever get hold of. I hope this question/issue has not been asked many times before. I have shot some photos in A mode, almost most of the time I keep the aperture at 0.95. Then I upload the photos to Lightroom (v 2.7). Strange enough, the aperture shown are 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.7 or 2.4 but no 0.95. - Does this A mode act actually like a P mode?? or is there some version/compatibility issue between the M9 firmware (1.116) and Lightroom 2.7? - Does 0.95 show up in the meta in Lightroom at all? For some photos their meta even show that it is Summilux 35mm f/1.4 ASPH instead of the NX! (for the latter, I might have mistakenly changed the lens setting to manual somehow, that I need to test more).
