  1. Being on my way back to the Lodge the moon was already there and the the from the back with the last reflections of light on the theatre. Altogether it made an unforgettable moment. The pano was stitched from 3 pictures.
  2. Before the Eclipse Fuji XH-1 + Leica Elmar 135mm f4 Acros-red, in-camera jpg, cropped
  3. We are back from our California trip to the West Coast. We started in San Francisco and went by car along the famous Pacific Highway No 1 where our first location was a stopover in Half Moon Bay. There we began to scan what will be waiting for us and prepared ourselves for landscapes, seascapes, vegetation, rocks, cliffs, seal, birds and: the rhythm of the mist. This phenomenon is dominating all the vegeation and life there, including our own feelings and surprises when it lifted and sank in again, veiled sunshine, unveiled it and so on. Canon 5D MKII with Elmarit R 28 mm + filters from polarizer, graded and full big stopper ND filter. Leica X1 Olympus EM 5 with Nocticron Canon 5 D MKII with Emarit R 28 mm + ND filter
  4. Late september I was in Hong Kong for a fortnight and we could explore many locations. Stanley is a place with an English tradition in the south of HK-Island. After a hot and exciting day it was a welcome place to relax, have dinner and then going back to our hotel on Kowloon. This picture was taken just after sunset, a rising moon here is vanishing behind a hill. Pano out of 2 pictures, Olympus OM EM 5 with Elmarit R 60 mm.
  5. Prickly plant under moon - with CL and Sigma 100 - 400 plus extender 1,4. Processed a little bit to achieve a nearly round "moon", but still a pure photo, not a composing. The "moon" was a part of the bokeh.
  6. I saw coming home a promising moon showing itself above the trees. I started running for my stuff. When tripod and lens were mounted the moon had risen a but further of course. but it was still surrounded by clouds. taken with Canon 5D MKII + Telyt 250 mm. It is a stack out of 5 pictures by Combine ZP after processing in LR and layer work in PSE.
  7. An M with a 90mm lens is not ideal for shots of the moon. But I was reasonably pleased with this impromptu hand-held snap. Taken on August 20 in Mykonos, Greece, with Leica Monochrom and 1974-vintage 90mm Tele-Elmarit, wide open at 1/1500s to minimise shake, ISO set to 800. The crop is actually 1/12th of the full frame and I was surprised by the amount of detail captured by the MM.
