The river of my boyhood - for the whole of my life I have known this stretch of water. I was born near it, my first visit to an inn was alongside it. Over time I have fished in it, swam in it, paddled in it. Like life it keeps flowing onward. I went back this morning and it stirred many memories. Leica M240 + 50mm Sunnicron f2. 1/250 f9.5 @ 320iso Gerry

Back in 2016 I visited the city of Budapest and, amongst other places, the very moving and beautiful Dohany Street Synagogue there. I have no idea why but this image came floating back to my mind today. The synagogue is a place of great peace and a very poignant reminder of the wrongs man can do to man. In the current conflicts in the Middle East it may do us all to reflect on those dreadful times and wonder what we have learnt from them. Gerry
