I think this mostly ignored gem of a special edition (prices indicate so) deserves its own thread. Especially with the L/E/I/C/A 001-500 and its 2500 pieces of silver M4-P bodies that somehow ended up being quite higher in numbers than promised and the "Napoleonic" engravers' mistake of "1813-1983" cameras... Plus all the special editon lenses and an engraved winder that - combined together - made this special edition so cool... The last Midlands M camera before M6 and the Canadian Leica "swan song", the last goodbye...

I can always use some practice, especially since lately there have been long periods between photo sessions. Case in point, the last time I used the M4-P was back in November of 2018. Not that I haven't wanted to use it since then, but things have just not aligned to make that happen, especially when an entire month is dedicated to certain other brands of cameras I own. Plus there are other things that have taken my attention for extended amounts of time, and continue to do so. Anyway, I took the latest opportunity to correct the loading mistake I made on a previous roll, and to pay more attention to the various functions of the camera, and how it acts with certain lenses attached, especially brands other than Leitz. If you go to the album at https://flic.kr/s/aHsmE9qeR8 you'll find the reasons behind the images that were captured, and what lens was used. I'll give abbreviated notes here. I need some help to decide, I’ve just sold my M4-P with M6 top-plate, and now I want to upgrade but which one is best, a used M6 TTL for $1750 (Canadian dollars) or a used M7 for $1000 more? Thank in advance
