With the new APO-Summicron-SL 1: 2/35 ASPH Leica extends its lens line-up with a classic reportage focal length for Leica SL systems. According to Leica, the objective is to be the new reference among reportage lenses, among other things due to innovative production methods and newly used technologies. The lens has perfect compatibility with other L-Mount Alliance cameras.
In addition to the particularly strong imaging performance, which should be excellent even with fully open aperture according to Leica, the design of the lens ensures compact dimensions and low weight. Leica emphasizes that during the development of the lens, special attention was paid to the avoidance of stray light and reflections. Thanks to high quality coatings, Leica has succeeded in reducing these to the lowest possible level.
