  1. Sorry if this has been asked before, but after a previous very bad experience with a lens adapter (cheap build meant it got stuck to a very expensive lens!!), I thought I'd ask on here for recommendations. Basically, I've found the need for a Tilt Shift lens, with the Canon 17mm TS-E being perfect for the job. I don't really want to buy a Canon body as I'll only probably use it for this one lens, so I wondered if there's a decent adapter for the M240 which will allow the use of the Canon lens? I believe the aperture on the TS-E models are electronic, so I don't know how I'll go about that issue, but finding an adapter would be a good start. Thanks in advance.
  2. I have a Leicaflex SL body R mount 2 cam. Is there an adapter for Leicaflex SL body to Eos ef canon lens ? Hope you can help. Thank you.
  3. I'm wondering if there is a T2 lens mount to L series camera adapter? There seems a plethora of these for every other camera lens mount (including for M-mount), but haven't seen one for the L mount cameras (such as SL2) Thanks!
  4. Ladies and Gents, This is my first post as a newly-minted owner of the Leica T. I'm hoping you can help me sort out a future lens purchase. I picked up the T, along with the 23mm F2.0 Summicron and the M adapter, mostly for travel. I also own a Ricoh GR with the 21mm adapter. With the GR and the T my wide-angle (35mm, 28mm, and 21mm) shooting needs are covered for now, but I'm planning to take a close look at the Leica 11-23mm F3.5-4.5 once released. I also have a Leica M3 with the 50 F2.0 Jahre Anniversary Summicron. I'm shooting less film nowadays - roughly 80/20% digital to film - so the 50mm is used primarily on the T with the adapter, which makes it a perfect portrait lens with an effective focal length of 75mm. This travel set-up gives me everything I need except for a long, fast telephoto (something around the 200mm mark). So I'm looking at two lenses: 1) the Leica 135 F3.4 APO Telyt and 2) the Zeiss 135mm F2 APO Sonnar (ZF.2) with a Novaflex adapter. I like that the Telyt is reasonably fast, can be easily affixed via the M adapter, and would make for a relatively compact package. I don't like that the Telyt costs nearly $4000K. I like that the Sonnar is very fast, has a unique signature, and costs less than $2500K with the adapter. I don't like having to stack adapters and the size/weight is a real concern, not having held this lens in person. I'd very much appreciate any and all feedback. Does anyone have experience with either of these lenses on the T or another mirrorless camera to share? Any general thoughts on the two options? Any other recommendations? Regards, Vintage Digital
  5. Hi All! I'm hoping someone can clarify a question that I'm sure many of you will know the answer to--or direct me towards an already existing thread. I recently purchased a Summicron 50mm lens from KEH as well as a Summicron 35mm, neither of which came with the proper retaining ring. I was told at the Leica store to purchase Series VI 14160 rings, and have done so. The problem: I would like to use a 62mm filter on these lenses but cannot figure out which initial step up ring will fit into the lenses--39mm, 41mm or 44mm? There is a lot of conflicting information out there about series adapters and so forth, and since I won't have the retaining rings for a couple weeks I would like to be able to confidently purchase step up rings without having to wait and then measure the actual diameter. Thoughts? Many thank! Lou (The 50mm is from 1969, and the 35mm from 1970, I believe)
  6. I plan to use a Leica Screw Mount to Leica M Bayonet adaptor on my M9. I notice that there are 2 or 3 Leica variants of the adaptor and each is marked and designed to match one or two lens focal lengths. This is to bring the correct frame lines into the viewfinder. That's as far as I understand. Can someone explain "if", or "how" the dimensions of these adaptors vary in order to achieve this task. Thanks Newbie Lucerne
  7. Great cheap ($18) adapter with two major caveats... First: this is manual focus only. Second: you must shoot with wide open aperture After saving many hundreds of dollars by NOT buying the German lens adapter, this is a great find! Most Canon EF lenses are very good wide open. The manual focusing on my Leica SL is perfection. Using my Canon 85mm f1.8 for portraits on the SL is a real improvement over using it on my Canon R mirrorless. Sure, the Leica Summicron SL 90 would be better but it is many thousands of dollars! If you have a TL format camera (Leica, Sigma, Panasonic) and Canon lenses — buy this!
