Hi everyone, I know I do not contribute a lot but I always enjoy your images and discussions. I would appreciate your advice please. My S2-P has the sensor issue and as it is out of warranty now, I have to pay to replace the sensor. The two obvious options are to replace the sensor with one that will not have the issue (that is what I was told) or upgrade to S007 at a good price. My problem is that I loved the output of my S2 and although I do not use it regularly (because of size and lack of time), I always felt I had a soft spot for this camera. I also care about the cost, especially when the Fujifilm GFX is so much cheaper. When I thought a bit more about all possible options I see the following: 1) Upgrade the S2 sensor 2) Upgrade to S007 3) Sell all Leica and buy Fujifilm GFX and lenses at considerable discount to S007 4) Wait until the S3 is out and then see if the price makes sense, or if the S007 price goes down 5) Buy an X1D (just joking :)) 6) Do nothing and only use my S2 wide open, as I usually do... What would you suggest? I have used my S2 for portraits/street mainly and pictures of the family life... I also enjoyed using it with adapted lenses (Mamiya/Hasselblad)

I am a newbie to this Forum, and I am very much looking forward to -hopefully- long years of mutually rewarding posts, be it problem solving or just sharing the pleasure of owning a red-dot camera. I just received my S2 yesterday, and I intend to using both, CF and SD cards to complement each other (back-up / memory overflow). However, and while I am using both recommended (size and make) media, I just got the following error message when mounting the SD card: - "cannot read memory card" - Seems like a read-problem or maybe formatting issue? The card that gives me the problem is the SanDisk Extreme PRO SDSDXPA-064G-X46 SDXC Flash Memory Card with up to 95MB/s Can anyone speak to this problem and maybe offer a solution ?

I am trying to use the Metz 54mz4 with the adapter 3502. The manuel says it will work with, M8, M9 etc. Nothing about the S2 First question is this compatible, if so what features will I lose out, TTL, HSS---? May be it is NOT compatible and I have to buy the SF58. Any and all suggestions welcome. Leicad.

Bei ebay wird ein Adapter für Hasselblad-Objektive angeboten: Leica S2 DSLR Lens mount ADAPTER FOR Hasselblad to S2 - ebay.com Es ist nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, wann andere Hersteller auch einen anbieten. Vielleicht bietet Zeiss auch Objektive mit dem S-Bajonett an.

Iv'e been playing around with the S2 on and off since December and finally got to update my page on the Leica S2. Will get some more details and images up in the following weeks. I don't come from the medium format world, but from dSLR though I mostly use M9 these days. So read it with that viewpoint in mind. Ich würde mir gerne H.G. Eschs Fotoneuinterpretation des historischen Sattlerpanoramas der Stadt Salzburg von 1829 nochmals anschauen. In der neuen LFI ist eine Ausstellung des Panoramas in Hamburg erwähnt. Weiss jemand zufällig wann und wo ? H.G Eschs HP und die Suche in gurgel schweigen sich darüber aus. Für was die Deutsche Reichsb .. ääh Bahn AG nicht alles gut ist. Während einer Wartezeit habe ich im Bahnhofsbuchhandel in der aktuellen Photo International geblättert. Interessant fand ich die sehr differenzierte Besprechung der S2 (teuer aber gut) und die Einbindung der Erfahrungen des Naturfotografen Norbert Rosing in die Besprechung. Leider wurde mir nicht klar wie Herr Rosing mit den "fehlenden" langen Brennweiten klar kommt. PHOTO International
