Von Einigen weiß ich, dass sie die Leica Q erst ganz kurz haben und sich Starthilfe wünschen. Deshalb werden wir uns bei diesem Fotospaziergang fotografierend den Möglichkeiten der Leica Q zuwenden. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt, was wir uns an vielfältigen Ergebnissen erarbeiten werden. Schließlich haben alle die gleichen Motive, das gleiche Licht, die gleiche (Kamera)Technik. Es kommt also ausschließlich auf deinen Blick, deine Kreativität an. Termin: Samstag, 6. April 2024 Ersatztermin: Samstag, 27. April 2024, sollte es am 6. April 2024 regnen. Uhrzeit: 15 Uhr Ort: Haupteingang Landgericht, A 1, 1, 68159 Mannheim Dauer: ca. 2 bis 2,5 Stunden werden wir unterwegs sein, danach können wir gerne noch auf ein Getränk einkehren. Wie komme ich hin: Straßenbahnhaltestelle „Schloss Mannheim“ Parkhaus: Parkgarage Universität Mensa und div. andere Ich freue mich schon sehr auf dieses Treffen.

Is it possible to set up the Leica Q to be used as a webcam for Zoom and other video conferencing meetings? If so, any suggestions on setting it up? -
When i was doing my initial research when considering to purchase this flash i did not find any other pictures than the official product photos that's only from the front. I picked it up from my retailer today, and thought i'd post some pictures of the flash from the front and back, and on the Q as well for size comparison. I were eyeballing this flash for a while, It is the same as a Nissin i40, just rebranded and with support for Leica TTL, seems to work perfect on the Q and should probably do the job in the scenarios where the Q is with me.

Moin Moin aus dem Norden, Ich habe mir eine gebrauchte Leica Q gekauft. Sie sieht sehr gut aus und soweit ich es einschätze ist sie technisch ohne Fehler. Sie hat nur etwas Schmutz auf dem Sensor. Meine Frage: was wird den gemacht bei einen Clean and Check? Und was kostet so etwas und wie lange muss ich rechnen. Liebe Grüße Michael

So we have two 28mm Summilux lenses to choose from nowadays, the Summilux M and the Summilux Q. I am curious: For those who own and use both (and knowing this crowd, there has to be several who have both) which image rendering do you prefer, and why? Obviously there is way more that factors in to choosing between these two lenses, but my interest lies in the different rendering that the two lenses produce. Thoughts? -
Sold my Leica Q last week in mint condition and I am having severe separation anxiety. I need to buy Leica Q in mint condition. But need help to decide: Should i buy Q or Q2? I have watched some reviews on YouTube that the colors / rendering and 24MP is a sweeter spot than Q2? Should I wait for Q3, launching most probably early next year? Due to my anxiety I will most probably buy either Leica Q or Q2 asap and buy Q3 next year as second camera if the upgrades are worthy. Any help would be appreciated and make me calm until I get Leica back in my Palm.

I am new to the Leica system and I was so excited to find a certified Leica Q-P in my price range. I just received it last night and having been playing around with it this morning. Two things I noticed right away - autofocus seems to be hit or miss and the photos seem noisy even at an ISO 400. In fairness, I started taking shots of my active daughter pretty early this morning before we had a lot of light, so it's possible the autofocus is totally fine and that the low light conditions and auto shutter speed were lending to the lack of focus. My settings were AFs, Face Detection, Spot exposure metering. I did notice that as the room got brighter, the photos were more in focus. As for the noise, it seems that a 400 ISO should be pretty clean? I am shooting raw and editing in lightroom. The photo below is ISO 400, f/2.0, 1/640. I am hoping I am just overthinking this because in the back of my mind I know it's a used camera.

Hello, I just joined this forum and am hoping to get an opinion. Today, I received my first Leica, a Leica Q which I had bought through ebay and found (what I think is) dust on the sensor. The seller had confirmed to me that even at f/16 there are no problems. It isn't noticeable in most other pictures I take so I am wondering how others would handle this situation and if you would consider it reason to complain to the seller and ask for a refund? I am thinking that this could lower resale value even though I am not thinking I will resell anytime soon. Btw, I contacted Leica in Wetzlar and the lady on the phone was sure that there was not an update to the Q in 2017 which sealed the battery opening better against dust (which I had read on here). She even contacted two other Leica employees which both confirmed the same. Thank you Sevi

Hi All - New to the forum & the Leica world. Old photographer however. Coming from mostly Nikon, Fuji, Ricoh. I have the new Q, fw 2.0. Loving it. But I seem to get unpredictable results with Auto ISO. I tend to shoot manual aperture & shutter, letting the ISO move within my chosen range. I always select my aperture. Occasionally I will select an aperture, put shutter on 'A', but still let ISO move up or down within my range. It seems no matter what I set my Q Auto ISO settings to - 1/15th & 6400 max for example, when putting the camera in 'A' shutter speed, the camera will start raising the ISO while remaining at 1/60th? Should not the camera be allowing the shutter speed to drop to 1/15th before raising ISO? Is not the functionality (more importantly the terminology) similar to most other manufacturers? Iv'e read some of the threads here that attempt to answer this but I haven't seen a clear explanation? The result I'm looking for: Pick an aperture, say f2.8 Put shutter dial on 'A' Set Auto ISO to 1/15th, 6400 I'm expecting camera to keep ISO at 100 down to a shutter of 1/15th before raising ISO Example of what does happen: Pick f28 Shutter dial on 'A' Auto ISO to 1/15th, 6400 Camera will stop dropping shutter speed at 1/60th, the ISO will move from 100 up/down to 1,000 or whatever it needs to meter. I must be missing something? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

Hallo everyone, I hope to find some help here in the Forum for my problem concerning my Leica Q and Lightroom. As you can see in the attached pictures, I am having a pretty heavy problem councerning "White pixels". I could understand that, if this would be a very high iso problem, but the ISO in the picture is 1600. The shadows were opened up in Lightroom +70 and the exposure is +0.5. Is anyone here having the same problem? I am not sure about contacting the support of Leica, that's why I am posting this problem right here.

Hi, I know that Lightroom is supporting the Q's crop mode in DNG, meaning it will automatically crop to 35mm or 50mm aspect with the ability to recover the 28mm frame. I know that Capture One unfortunately do not support the crop modes and will just display the full 28mm. I'd like to test the feature on other RAW converter before purchasing my Q. Would anyone be kind to send me a DNG file which has been taken in 35 or 50mm mode? Thanks a lot! Romain

Hello all. My Leica Q of two years all of the sudden shows a pretty severe Purple / Greenish tint to everything through the back LCD, but not in the EVF or the actual photo files. The issue popped up out of nowhere after a flight, and I've done everything I can on my end to fix it but nothing has worked. Anyone else have a similar experience? Really trying to avoid sending this thing in for however much that will cost to fix. Firmware is up to date. The photos attached are the difference between the back LCD and the EVF (Which has normal color). Apologies for the bunk iPhone photos but at least you can see the difference in color.

Hallo zusammen, gibt es hier zufällig noch jemanden, der Spaß am Filmen hat und dieses Hobby auch schon mal mit seiner Leica Q näher verfolgt hat? Oder kennt vielleicht wer andere Foren in denen dieses Thema schon einmal erörtert wurde? Mir ist bewusst, dass die Leica Q in erster Linie auf das Fotografieren ausgerichtet wurde (zumindest bis jetzt)... Theoretisch hat sie es ja technisch drauf und mit dem 28mm bei der Lichtstärke und einem Vollformat Sensor in der Package ließen sich echt tolle Filmchen machen. Was ich absolut nicht verstehen kann: Warum darf ich als Nutzer der Leica Q Handy App im Video Modus ALLE Belichtungseinstellungen manuell vornehmen, nur nicht direkt an der Kamera? Warum werde ich dadurch außerdem gezwungen mir das Bild auf dem per WLAN gepairten Handy anzuschauen statt durch den integrierten Sucher oder den Kamera Bildschirm (mit Lag)? WARUM??? Mit dem Handy ist ja super wenn ich eine Stadicam benutze. Von daher gibt's für dieses Feature definitiv schon mal 100 Punkte von mir. Aber dann doch bitte bitte auch direkt an der Kamera...! Liebes Support Team bei LEICA: Bitte kommt endlich mit einem vernünftigen Firmware Update um die Ecke! Die Kamera kann so viel mehr

I purchased a Q end of last year, liked it so much that I sold my Nikon DSLR, Lumix FZ-2500 and Fuji XE-T3. I then purchased the CL with the 18-56mm lens a few months later. Now with adapters to use my Rokinon wide-angles, and 7 Artisan lenses I find myself using the Leica CL way more than the Q. There's no doubt that the IQ of photos from the Q, a full-frame camera, are better than the Leica CL, t's a fantastic camera and lens with macro capability.. But I'm thinking of selling it add more lenses for the CL (or at least pay it off 😎). Anyone else face this situation? BTW, with all that's going on in the world at this time, I'm fully aware that this is no big deal, but it keeps my mind off the other cataclysmic issues we're experiencing. All opinions welcome, any recommendation for lenses?...thanks. I am currently waiting for arrival of the TTArtisan 35mm F1.4 lens to ship. Be Well everyone. -
Hi there, I've noticed recently that when ON, Q makes this constant noise - sort of like hard-drive working/internal electonics buzzing... not the OIS element in lens when the camera is OFF, nor the clicky aparture sound). It's an electronic sound, just like a computer or other larger device emites... especialy noticable when I put my ear to the lens or LCD... but can be heard even from some distance, when the room is quiet... Is this normal? Should I worry? thanks

Hallo zusammen, Ich habe über die Suchfunktion zu diesem Thema im deutschsprachigen Forum noch keinen Thread gefunden, deshalb eröffne ich hier mal einen. Ich hätte gerne einen Polfilter für meine Leica Q und habe wegen seiner flachen Bauweise bereits den B+W Zirkularpolfilter nach Käsmann HTC MRC nano XS-Pro Digital ins Auge gefasst. 1. Hat jemand Erfahrung mit diesem oder einem anderen Polfilter an der Q? 2. Lässt sich der Filter mit angesetzter Gegenlichtblende drehen? Danke für Eure Antworten.

For some reason, after setting jpeg saturation settings to monochrome on my Q, it's not coming up on the Live View/EVF in b/w. Just color. After a capture, it is b/w on display. This was not the case until now. Not sure why. I have tried this with removing/reinserting the battery in case it's that ol' fix-a-bug gestalt. Did not work. Changed focus settings -as I read this may happen on tracking focus - never use it - just normal single point -- and again, only color. ISO at 3200. Any ideas? -

Hi! I recently purchased a used Leica Q manufactured early 2018. When I try shooting in night, both "low iso + long exposure", and "high iso + short exposure" captured in DNG file shows annoying banding, and even some unwanted color points, like the images shown below. Is this a native camera issue? Or this camera sensor is defected : (
