Kann jemand der noch auf dem Event in Börlin ist und einer T + M->T Adapter habhaft werden kann, das Handling testen ? (Sind M Objektivprofile via Menu auswählbar ? .....)

I bought my first Leica recently, a T. I'd always loved the design, the single block of aluminium build, and been intrigued by the touchscreen operating system. It always seemed to be a very modern interpretation of an APS-C camera by a company that's know for its long traditions. And with prices so low I thought it was worth trying one out. I'm a bit of a camera tart, you name it over the last 10 years and I've probably had one. I'm a hobbyist rather than a serious photographer and the feel of a camera and the enjoyment of using it is almost as important to me as the image quality. I didn't have a lens for it and while I was deciding which ones I should get I ordered the 7artisans 55mm f/1.4 from China. It's a manual lens (I haven't shot manual for years), and quite long (82.5mm equivalent) but very cheap, and it luckily arrived the morning of my holiday to Suffolk so I packed the T as well as my Pana GX9 just in case. I was quite surprised just how much I enjoyed using a manual focus lens after so long away. I'm desperately short of practice but thanks to the T's ability to let you zoom in to focus (thanks to everyone on here who helped me work out how to do it) I think I did ok. My Visoflex 020 hasn't arrived yet so all my shots were done using the screen to compose and focus, which was a bit tricky. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. I love the feel of the T, think the image quality with the 7artisans was very nice, and loved the look and feel of the pairing. I've got a 35mm Voigtlander M mount as well, just waiting for the adapter to arrive! I think that will be a more useful day to day lens. But even so I found the 55mm quite useful, and even managed some wildlife pics. Most of the images below were taken at F4, with one or two at f1.4 for a bit of variety. Any feedback or advice is more than welcome, I certainly consider myself a Leica beginner, despite my advanced age!

Not sure if this has been asked before. I was wondering if there's a way to use Focus Aid magnification when shooting Manual mode on the T. I noticed there are two menus with 'F' and 'S' on the screen with Manual mode. 'S' with the right knob on the camera seems to adjust Shutter speed. I wasn't sure what 'F' program stands for since it doesn't do anything when I turn the left knob. I assumed 'F' is the f stop or aperture setting? I'm using M lens via M-adapter T and the aperture could be adjusted manually on the lens. Is there a way to program the 'F' (left) menu to be using Focus Aid instead like how it works with Aperture Priority or Shutter Priority Mode on the camera? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! I got the T for a few weeks now and have been enjoying the camera so far. This is also my first time to use manual lens on a digital camera. Still learning the best practice to quickly do accurate manual focus on this camera. I don't own an EVF. Is it worth it to get one? I only own M lenses and none of the T's so far. I would love to get as much accurate focus as possible when doing street photography.

Currently I use the Zeiss ZM 50 f/2 Planar and the Zeiss 21 f/4.5 ZM Biogon on my Leica T. Both are great performers on the Leica T. The 50 Planer is fantastic OOC. The 21 Biogon needs PP to deal with the color shifts. I use the Lightroom plugin FlatField for this. After that, the results are stellar imo. Does anyone use the combo Leica T/ Zeiss 35 f/2.8 ZM c-biogon or Zeiss 35 f/2 ZM Biogon? I've read that the 35 f/2.8 mounted on a Sony A7r or NEX5 show some issues in the corners. Does this apply on the Leica T as well?

I have a couple questions for those who have owned or had experience with the T and TL bodies. I realize this has been discussed in other threads, but I’m hoping for a little more insight. Even when auto review is turned off on my T body, the captured image lingers on the screen for a second (the equivalent of "blackout" on other cameras), prohibiting me from immediately composing my next shot. I admit that's not a lot of time, but it can have an impact on my shooting workflow. So my questions are 1) do the TL and TL2 also have this issue, and 2) does using a faster memory card decrease the time it takes for the monitor to become live again? For reference, I'm using a Panasonic SDHC Class 10 UHS-3 card with a 45 MB/s write time, and I'm shooting RAW (DNG) with 1.8 MB jpeg files. The T has no option for shooting DNG only, unfortunately.

Hello everyone - I'm new here and would like to introduce myself. After a long absence from photography and recently only snapping with my (very good) camera phone, today i bought a brand new Leica T (silver) with 18-56 zoom lens. I've asked the company to update the firmware before shipping and want to ask you if there is any need in addition to whatever comes in the box. E.g. a decent strap, a cover for the body etc. I cannot find any filters to sit on the lens i.e. ND, UV etc. I do not intend to look for a VF atm and would rather put funds toward a 23mm Summicron. What are your thoughts please?

Hi all - new to the forum and new to Leica! Just got an as new Leica T this week and have a couple of bugs I'd like to fix: Firstly the Leica T app was working fine until i upgraded the firmware to 1.7 - any ideas? won't always connect and when it does cant read the pics from my SD. Secondly - the strap lugs won't click into place without me putting the pin in - surely should only need the pin when taking the strap out? Any advice would be great! Thanks

Does anybody used Nissin i40 Flash with Leica T? I'm wandering what Flash I should buy for my Leica T. Leica SF 26 is badly expensive, SF 40 looks better for parameters and price. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, new to the forum and I had a question about a strange occurrence with my T: Every time that I have the Leica T at f/2 with the 23mm and I go to the closest focusing point with a subject, the camera automatically switches to a different aperture. So for instance I'll be at 2.0, try to get a nice blurry background and the camera will either switch to 2.5 or 2.8 depending on distance. I'm perplexed by why this is happening. No other camera I've ever used has done this. It's almost like the T doesn't want me to shoot with those parameters. And I'm shooting everything in manual mode with RAW selected. Any idea why it's doing this? Thanks.

I wonder if anyone can clear up some misunderstandings about adaptors for the Leica T. I have just recently purchased a very good second hand T(Type 701) Vario-Elmarit 18-56 T lens; and I am very pleased with it and like the touch screen operation. I have also upgraded the firmware to V1.61. There is the Leica M to T Lens Mount Adapter 18771 for mounting M lenses to the T. Then there is the Leica R-Adapter M, 14642 Then there is the R-adapter L but I seem to understand that this is is used to connect M lenses to the SL mount which is different from the L mount. ​Finally there are all the multitude of adapters available on Amazon and Ebay. It seems though the M to T adapter would be the most sensible to buy for starters for M lenses but there are a number of R lenses also available. I was wondering what would the most cost effective solution to connect R lenses to the T mount. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello colegas! This weekend I was in Istanbul. Rather than take my M9, I brought the T with the 55-135 lens. Though there were times when I wish I had my M9 with my 'cron 40mm, the zoom lens worked pretty admirably. Here's a pic I snapped while walking around. Cheers! S

Walking around the Ankara castle, there's a cat that likes to climb onto people's backs. Last time I was in the area, in January, it climbed into the hood of my parka. Yesterday, when my nephew and I were walking around, we went to greet the cat and it promptly climbed onto Jasper's back. Snap taken with my Leica T, 55-35 Vario-Elmar-T lens. Just saw by chance that the firmware 1.6 is now available on Leica Camera's download site.

Maybe in future I will buy Leica SL camera, can I use Leica T lenses on Leica SL camera? Connection is same, but does T lenses will cover "full size" matrix of Leica SL?

So in a bout of insanity, (well he__, it was only $700) I have bought my first Leica. This will be supplementing my Fuji X-Pro 1. I haven't bought a new camera in four years, not much of one for gear addiction, but I've kind of fallen in love with a pretty face. So, am I completely nuts?
