There was some mention of this new LR3 feature on the DPP Forum a few weeks back, but the discussion seemed to mainly relate to the potential use of profiles with the M8/9. So, my question is whether canned profiles (if they existed) might have any appeal for we owners of the old classics, the D2 and LC1? Not surprisingly Adobe haven't created profiles for us, (and seem unlikely to) but there is the option of creating a set using the 'Lens Profile Creator' available from Adobe. While I gather it's not exactly a simple task, the profiles would likely work for both models. Making manual adjustments as and when needed is an alternative, and I've fiddled around with that, but I'm not so sure my eyesight's good enough to easily make the optimum lens perspective/distortion adjustments. It seems to be one of the more powerful new features of LR3, it would be good to be able to make the most of it, and do so automatically most of the time What then are opinions on the merits of profiles for the D2/LC1 - has anyone out there tried to create a set?

What I really want to do is buy a newer panasonic camera, such as the GF3, and put all of it's internals into my LC1. Is this process even possible?

Having updated the firmware on my D-Lux4 recently and becoming more partial to the square format it offers, I was wondering whether there is a way to produce 1:1 pics with my LC1, short of cropping the final image...

Hi guys, I am new to this forum and I would like to share a modification that I did to my Panasonic LC1 last night. Some of you might find it useful, so here it is. From my film days and with my other digital cameras (R1 & 30D), I got used to shooting in 3:2 aspect ratio (which I find much more appealing). However, my newly acquired LC1 doesn't allow me to do that, reminds the whole thing into guesswork. After taking few photos, I noticed that if I cropped the 4:3 image the whole composition was going astray. So I decided to put some sort of guidelines on the LCD. I tried putting two lines on the LCD window with a permanent felt pen. No, it didn't help, you need to look straight to make sure they appear in correct positions. So I decided to put them between the TFT unit and glass cover. I could have marked the TFT using a pen, but I thought the fine machinery of the camera would request something more of a 'steampunk' style. So I chose to put thin wires. :-) Here is the final result: Here is a flickr set that I created, describing the process: Panasonic LC1 LCD aspect ratio guide hack... - a set on Flickr And here is another flickr set that I created earlier, describing the total strip down process for LC1/D2: Panasonic LC1 Disassembly - a set on Flickr Hope you'll enjoy them... K.

Hello, First ever post. This is an image of a Finnish lake and I tried HDR, to see what all the fuzz is about.
