3 months ago, I bought an original Q3's half cover in the Leica shop in Milan. As you can see from the photos, the edges inside of a cover are so sharp, they made scratching the bottom of the camera. I've seen similar cases on this Leica forum. Then I also happened to check my camera and I found 4-5 scratches. And a few days later I dropped the cover while taking it off (only the cover). As you can see in the photo, the cover fell towards its center of gravity, causing a scratch there. At the time, the camera was hanging around my neck with its strap. I reported to Leica CS in Milan. And exactly one month later, I received an email from them. According to Leica CS in Germany, 'I dropped the camera and the cover together', so the impact caused internal deformation of the cover, causing a scratch on the bottom of the camera... I am so angry at their general judgment. And they gave me a paid repair fee of €671 VAT incl. Of course, I turned down the repair, and I plan to get the camera back from Germany. I'm sure similar issues will happened from more users. I know that many people are still waiting to get this camera (at least 3 months...) and I hope that my issue can be of some help to them. Do you also have similar issues as me? Please share various information.

My [almost] two year old Tekiac Stealthcover’s tripod mounts popped out - yes, both of them. And the plastic started cracking around the tripod mounts, to boot. Thinking it’s time to update it anyway I went to LFI (where I first got it from) but lo and behold, it’s not there anymore. A quick visit to the Tekiac website and wouldn’t ya know it, it’s no longer in production. Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative? Really only need it to do the three things the Stealthcover did well: Have a grip Cover the logo Have a tripod mount Bonus points if it comes in black 🤟 Thanks!
