  1. Hi Everyone. I'm a decade-long Fujifilm user who switched to a Leica M11 three weeks ago. There were a lot of feelings about using a Leica, and I was baffled initially (no EVF). But more than that, using an X100V previously, I share my experiences and thoughts. It's a 5000 words extended essay, and I covered things like my lens of choice, M11 vs. X100V, why I love the M11, and many other things. I thought some of you would be interested in it: https://arslan.io/2023/01/06/from-fujifilm-to-leica-my-experience-with-the-m11/
  2. I have used Leica m240 for a while, and recently have bought Leica M6 as recommended by my friend, the last time I shot a film was almost 20 years ago (it was a school event, where we had to learn how to shoot film); but since then, my photography experience is pretty much always digital. I travelled to Copenhagen last weekend, and decided to give myself a bit of challenge, so I only took my Leica M6 with couple rolls of Fuji C200; the metering and focusing are pretty much identical between M240 and M6; so it was not that hard for me to use the camera, having said that, without the ability to view the image straight-away did take me out of the comfort zone as I had no idea how the image would look like. Followings are some of the images i would like to share, those are small default scans from the film developers, so the resolution is pretty low, i'm currently exploring options of scanning those negatives using my other digital cameras. Anyway, any C&C is welcomed.
  4. Here's an interesting article about the "new and improved" Acros II black and white film from Fuji: Comparing Fujifilm NEOPAN 100 ACROS II to original ACROS. What's the difference? https://emulsive.org/articles/comparing-fujifilm-neopan-100-acros-ii-to-original-acros-whats-the-difference
  5. Here's some truly outstanding news for B&W film lovers - Fujifilm NEOPAN 100 ACROS II shipping November 22nd in 35mm and 120 formats https://emulsive.org/articles/fujifilm-neopan-100-acros-ii-shipping-november-22nd-in-35mm-and-120-formats
  6. Finally "Fujifilm Co., Ltd. announced on June 10 the development of the black-and-white film Neopan 100 ACROS II. It plans to release 35mm size and 120 size in the fall of 2019. The sale price is undecided. Sensitivity ISO 100 black and white film. The company ended black-and-white film sales in the autumn of 2018 due to reduced demand and the difficulty of obtaining raw materials, but after receiving strong demand for continued sales mainly from enthusiasts and young people of the SNS generation, It is said that they have been studying for the reopening. The company developed Acros II by researching substitutes for raw materials that became difficult to obtain and reviewing the manufacturing process to match the new raw materials. Compared with the conventional product "Neopan 100 ACROS", the gradation of the highlight part is designed to be sharp and it is possible to reproduce three-dimensional gradation. In addition, the world's highest level of graininess is realized with the unique "Super Fine-Σ particle technology" (a technology that can control the size and composition of silver particles and improve the print quality of images), emphasizing the contour of the subject with high sharpness" https://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1189352.html
  7. I don’t really know which forum to post. Sorry if I made a mistake here. i wonder if any friends here using Leica M lens with Fujifilm GFX 50S ? I guess it can render beautiful image. Any thought? Thanks.
  8. Does anyone know of a way to adapt Fujifilm GF (G-mount) lenses for use on an SL2?
  9. Hi guys, I have got this lens recently and have put it on trial a few days ago. Results aren't not that bad given the price of the lens, which is only a fraction of 21mm Angulon. Lets see how are they: Thanks for viewing and let me know your comments, regardless good or bad.
  10. Just got this gem and can't wait to take it out for a shot.
  11. This is an alley within the financial district in HK. Difficult to spot the shop is closed for business. Shots were made 35mm cron 3rd version (aka 7 elements).
