I have a 75mm APO lens that is front focusing. It was good on my M9, but needed adjusting for my Monochrom now it is front focusing on both the MM and M9. How much front focusing is acceptable. I shoot with a wide aperture and close, about 3 to 4 feet away when shooting portraits. Test that I have done when focusing on the pupil, shows the eyebrows in focus and the pupil soft. Am I nit picking?

Guten Abend allerseits, Ich braeuchte ein paar Meinungen zu einem Objektiv-Problem: - kann man ein Objektiv solo (sprich ohne die ganze Ausrüstung fuer ein paar Wochen einzuschicken) und trotzdem "richtig" fuer digitale Ms justieren lassen? - gibt es in Wien ausser dem leica shop jemand der dazu in der Lage ist? Hintergrund: Mein mittlerweile doch recht betagtes 35 summicron v4 fokussiert an meiner m9 und zuvor an der m8 ein paar Zentimeter nach vorn. (heißt wenn die Entfernungs-Skala am Objektiv auf unendlich eingestellt ist, ist unendlich nicht scharf. Bei Portraits und Offenblende ist's natuerlich noch weitaus aergerlicher..) Vor gur einem Jahr war es im Leica Shop Wien zur Justage weil die vordere Haelfte des Objektivs sich ein paar Umdrehungen rausdrehen hat lassen, die haben es wieder fixiert. Ob der Fokus erst seitdem verschoben ist weiß ich nicht, hab zwar oefter mal unscharfe Bilder gehabt, aber eher an meinen Augen als am Objektiv gezweifelt, bis ich vor ein paar Wochen doch mal das Maßband gezueckt habe. Hinzu kommt: Das Objektivbajonett rastet ein, klemmt aber manchmal beim rausnehmen. Bei meinen Kameras kein Problem, bei der m9 eines Freundes ging es allerdings fast nicht mehr ab. Hab schon daran gedacht, dass vielleicht ganz einfach das Bajonett "kaputt" ist, und der vermeintliche front fokus vielleicht daher konmen koennte, aber das ist vielleicht zu weit hergeholt. So oder so muss es zum service, idealerweise aber ohne kamera und ohne die restlichen 4 objektive die allesamt einwandfrei fokussieren. Was denkt ihr? Liebe gruesse aus Wien und Dank im voraus, Phil

Hi, Im a real beginner in the world of rangefinders and Leica but I'm lucky enough to now own a M9 with a 35mm f2 asph and a 50mm f1.4 asph. I'm loving it but I think I have a problem with the 50mm, it is new but after reading some reviews and this forum I think I have a calibration issue? Am I doing anything wrong or does it look like I have to send it off for fixing? The snaps on this quick site show some results first with the 35mm which seem ok with my limited manual focusing experience but then using the same technique the 50mm is way off? Lens detection is set to auto. The glasses in these test pics are about 0.5m apart. http://web.me.com/skinner73 Any advice is appreciated if i'm doing something wrong or even just confirmation that it needs to go to the Leica doctor! Just can't believe kit that costs this much might have to be sent back? Still loving everything about it though, don't worry! Thanks Steve
