Even though I believe I'm following all the steps (battery fresh out of the charger, SD card empty, formatted in-camera, holding only the firmware update file) I'm not able to update the firmware of my T (currently running 1.6, looking to upgrade to 1.9). Is there a wonky combination of settings that makes the Video ON + Turn-on not work (the camera just starts up normally). I've successfully updated the firmware in the past, so I'm baffled. Thanks!

New firmware is out for the M, version 2.1.0.0., but also for M262, 246 etc. Who knows what's new?

Silly me! The problem I mention below may hit others and it has a trivial solution: UNLOCK THE SD CARD I followed the instructions in an email to download the latest firmware update "LEICA M FIRMWARE – Version 2.0.2.5 ". I downloaded the update and the instructions pdf. As instructed, I formatted my SD card and loaded that into my computer, a MacBook Pro, using the SD card reader integral to the computer. When I try to move the update file "M_240-2.0.2.5.FW" into the top level of the card, I get a symbol showing that it can't be moved (the international Do Not Enter symbol). When I try to

Dear colleagues, I have recently updated my Leica M8 to version 2.024 and have got great problems with it. If I am shooting in S mode 3 shots in a row by pressing trigger with a short intervals, camera is switching off and even removing and reinserting battery does not help. In an hour or so camera is back to life and I can shoot again. I was reading all the advices with memory card, this is not the source of a problem. As I am in short leaving to the trip I would like to downgrade from 2.024 to 2.014 again. Is this possible and how to do it? Where I can find the firmware 2.014 ? Thank you.

Hi, irgendwann kommt sicherlich ein Firmware - Update. Da Leica ja hier mit liest, wäre es schön, wenn wir in diesem Thread unsere Wünsche nennen oder auch definieren. Bitte Eure Wünsche fortlaufend durchnummerieren (fortfahren mit Nr.5), dann könne wir es später leichter zusammenfassen und ev. eine Priotitätenliste erstellen. Hallo M-Gemeinde! Habe auf meiner wunderbaren M die neue Firmware installiert. Es gibt einige gute Neuerungen. Leider ist meine Wasswerwaage verschwunden. Wasswerwaage "An" oder "Aus" ergibt keinen Untershied. Hätte jemand einenTipp? Leica Kundenservice gibt leider keine Antwort. Danke!

Will we get a lens coding firmware update for the M240 that functions as on the M10?, ie. goes back to recognize the last non-coded setting after a coded lens is recognized and then removed? Would be nice!

Hi, als neues Forumsmitglied habe ich folgende Frage zur Digilux3: Nach langer und reiflicher Überlegung habe ich mich für eine Digilux 3 entschieden und durch ein wenig Glück quasi eine neue Kamera erstanden. Geübt habe ich mich mit einer Canon DSLR und der Digilux 2 Kooperation Panasonic DMC - LC1. Nun möchte ich gern die Firmware überprüfen und den Shutter Count. Deshalb meine Frage: Wie kann ich den Shutter Count und die Firmware auslesen?

Hi, trotz intensiver Suche habe ich keine Information erhalten, über ein Firmwareupdate. Gab es welche und wenn ja wie viele? Und wenn ja wo kann ich sie finden - auf der L-Homepage jedenfalls nicht ! Oder habe ich etwas übersehn? Welche Speicherkartengröße und Geschwindigkeit ist möglich?
