Prague is famous for its hundreds of towers. We already know some of them. The tower of St.Niklas Church on the Mala Strana is worth climbing. It is also a museum because it shows the room and working place of a man watching the city and giving alarm when a fire is being detected. Then the bdell had to give a warning sound. when climbing the narrow wooden staircase I was reminded of those scenes from Friedrich Murnau's movie "Faust". A kind of time machine is working its magic. It was quite dark and so the pictures have also this grainy impact of a historic film atmopshere. Olympus EM 5 with Summilux 15 mm

These are all from our visit April 2013 to the Valley of fire, near Las Vegas. We could not make earlier than 9:00 but then could cover most of the valley within 2 hours. when the busloads with tourists came we were through. One could have easily spent the time from early sunrise but we came dead tired down from the Grand Canyon the night before and had to sleep at least for some hours. all these with Canon 5D MKII + Elmarit R 60 mm + Leica 2x APO converter
