"He likes to pose" his owner said when I asked for permission to photograph, and he certainly did! Leica M7 + 35mm Summarit-M f2.5/ Film was Kodak T-Max400 commercially processed and then scanned at home. The shadows were a bit of a problem but the scanner (Plustek 8200i + Silverfast) got through them well. Gerry

A woman waiting to welcome the first client at the opening of a yoga class (Southampton, England) - verbal permission given. I spotted this as I was walking down the street and asked for permission to photograph her (very unusual for me to ask!). I had the 24mm Elmarit-M f2.8 ASPH fitted, so I shot with what I had. Life is pretty quiet photographically for me at the moment, mostly due to really bad weather with heavy rain which makes street photography almost impossible. This means I am continuing my journey through my archives, and this I had forgotten. It shows a typical English pastime - playing bowls. The white clothes are the standard dress for everyone, and afternoon tea is almost compulsory. English tradition at its best. Leica M3 + 50mm Summicron f2. Ilford 400 Delta. 1997.

With the help of very kind friends my exhibition of 20 black and white images was hung at Mettricks (Guildhall) in the cultural quarter of Southampton last night. They will be there until at least the end of the year so if you want to join me there for a coffee just email me.Because they cover a long time span not all were on Leica, and about 2/3rds are on film, including some from this year taken with the M7.Gerry
