Hi, I have Leica M6 Classic and I have only one lens - Summicron M 50 (V5). Nifty fifty is my preferable focal length and this particular lens is perfect for me.Despite of this I feel the need to have another wider lens for some particular occasions - when walk in stretch streets and want to catch wider space, buildings, but mainly would give a try it for street phototherapy of people. Is there somebody else who started with 50mm lens and bought as second lens 28mm? I wrote here, because I’m interested mainly the feedback from analog users. -
Hello. I have the Elmarit 28mm f2.8 asph. But it is a 11606. I am embarrassed to say that I am a geek and prefer the 11677 hood. Some Leica users say that the 11606 is more compact and better, or that the 11677 has better image quality, but I don't know. I'm a nerd who chooses cameras based on looks, so the 11677 hood looks shiny to me, because the 11606 hood is plastic! Will there be a new metal hood for the 11606? If not, I'll have to get the 11677 after I give up the 11606. I know it seems a bit silly but LOL I'll wait for your reply.

Hi folks, I’ll be purchasing a Leica M-A in the new year, and I’m wondering which lens to get. I would love the Elmarit, but the reality is is that if the quality of the ZM lens is pretty great and the distortion is low (note: I want very little distortion so I can do portrait work on my fav focal length without getting weird images) I’ll probably opt for the Biogon because it’s much cheaper. What are people’s thoughts on the Zeiss? Or do I just drop the extra cash and get the Elmarit? -
