    Leica Elmarit-R 1:2,8/19 mm

    • For Sale
    • Used

  2. I have 35mm, 60mm Macro & 90mm Elmarit-R's plus the 21-35mm Vario Elmar for use with my R5 and occasionally via the R Adaptor M on my M240. In considering the purchase of a CL, I wonder how practical in terms of focus, balance and handling using such lenses on the CL would be? The change in focal length in that they would become 52mm, 90mm, 135mm and 32-52mm respectively is also a factor. Obviously I would have to stack the R Adaptor M onto a M Adaptor T/L, adding weight and length to the assembly. Anyone with relevant experience?

    Don't Be So Aloof!

    Ooh, don't be so aloof - gimme a kiss - look, I even brought you some carrots! R5, 90mm Elmarit-R, Neopan 400.
  8. Armed with my recently acquired R5, 35mm Elmarit-R III and a roll of Neopan I took a stroll around our local Country Park. As usual with b&w film, I had a yellow filter (in the case a B+W medium yellow) fitted. Bright sun out of frame fairly high to the left. The lens hood was extended but judging by this result, it is not long enough!

    135mm f/2.8 Leica R II opinions?

Hello Leicaphiles, this is my first post here. I am currently using Pentax gear, mostly "limited" primes, and including some very nice older lens. However, i feel i have a weak link in my lens lineup at 135mm. I am currently using a Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 lens, in M42 mount. This lens has 18 aperture blades and is nicknamed "the bokeh monster". Indeed, it produces excellent bokeh even stopped down, and is very sharp by f/5.6, especially at longer distances. It is of east German construction, all metal, with precise (huge throw) but rather stiff focusing. But i am considering the Leica elmarit-R II 135mm f/2.8 as a replacement for it, mainly for its performance wide open at tight portrait distance, where i find the Pentacon lacks a little pop. I would adapt it to Pentax K mount using a Leitax converter (probably blasphemy on this forum, please forgime me!). I have seen some impressive pictures with this lens on various online sites, but would apreciate your opinion of it before committing. Thank you, Miles
