Hi. I spend some time reading around these forums on my RSS Feed. Today I wanted to share that a recent documentary project, Peñarol, was published in LFI 01/2012 – Portfolio Martin Herrera Soler: Discarded. The published portion was mainly shot with an M9 and a 35mm Lux. Some of the images were shot with an M8 and the same 35 lens. It is quite thrilling to see my work in a magazine, there is something about it that feels very different. I wanted to share the good news and thank everyone for how much I learn and find inspiration in these forums. Good 2012 for everyone!

I just had the opportunity to spend three days documenting every day life in Havana. Due to a happy coincidence (read, the amazing support from my dealer in West Palm Beach), I got my Leica M9 just before the trip. All images were shot with a 35mm Summilux. I fell in love and became a convert of the 35 angle of view on the full frame of the M9. Wonderful! I hope you enjoy them. Martin. I was fortunate to spend three days in Havana, Cuba. I took with me a Leica M9 and a 35mm summilux. In the following link, you can see my Havana documentary photography and a personal account of this experience. As I mentioned before, I fell in love with the angle of view of this lens in the full frame M9. I truly think this can be my lens for 90% of my uses. Feedback welcome, as always.
