Hello everyone, I made a reservation for the Leica M11 at the end of May. While making a reservation, there was an issue where all the digital red LEDs at the bottom (red LEDs) looked blurred when viewing the viewfinder in the store. I wore -3.25 diopters of glasses with all my eyes and it looked blurry while wearing them, and when I used the -2.0 and +0.5 Correction lens in the store, the -2.0 looked relatively clear.(With glasses on!) The question here is, isn't the Correction lens an accessory for astigmatizing users to use without glasses? I still don't understand exactly why Leica's viewfinder is -0.5. -0.5 Is it a diopter, so it looks 1.0 for a person with a frameline and focus area (victitious 2m) and has a bare-eye 1.0 vision?

Hi Guys, I am a new leica user starting with a handsome m3 camera a few months ago. Really loved the camera but i had lost the eyepiece part. I guess it falled somewhr cause it is a 60+ years old camera. The problem is i do not know the parts exact name and how i could find it. A friend of mine gave me the part of m2's but i cant see anything with it. I am uploading 2 photos so you may see and help me about it. --------------------------------------------------

Hello folks, I followed this forum for several months – and now I joined "the club" by receiving my steelgray M9 - finally. ) As first lens I bought a second hand Noctilux1.0/50. I know: not the easiest starting point, but coming from Canon 5D MkII (which I will keep for T/S architecture and video work), I know for sure, that I love to shoot minimal DOF (85/1.2 and 35/1.4 on my 5D). As second lens I ordered the new Summilux 35/1.4. Now my questions: I'm thinking of buying two accessories for the M9 and need some advice: 1.) MS MAG x1.35 by Japan Exposure: I need an diopter to focus precisely wide open, and I think, the Magnifier should help further. Is the light meter in the viewfinder still visible with the x.135 – or how does it change? 2.) Thumbs Up: The Noctilux is quite heavy and Thumps Up should help me to hold the camera more relaxed and stable. I'd like to buy the steel gray EP-1. There is a offer on the bay by popflash.photo888. Are they recommendable? On machtechnical.com there are only black ones. Is there any difference? Thanks a lot for your help, Ralf
